A good, if unspectacular, cliche film. At times it's great, like the first half hour; at times it's also like a Lifetime movie. None of the acting is very good, Adam Brody annoyed the hell out of me and basically plays himself. His character was also extremely unlikeable. Kristen Stewart was alright, though underused and not that important to the plot. Meg Ryan was alright, though she has been better many times before. The Grandma was absolutely hysterical and provided many laughs. All in all, this is a disappointing film but it's one that's worth seeing if you need something to do on a rainy day.
7/10 ( B )

A really good, yet ultimately pointless drama with a disappointing ending. I really liked it while I was watching it, and it has some really nice looking and well put-together scenes, as well as solid performances from Brody, Ryan, and Stewart, yet after watching it I couldn't help but think, "There's really nothing to this movie at all." It's unfortunately quite flawed and could have been so much more. Still, I dug it.

Disappointing. It was decent, but quite forgettable for the most part - and also surprisingly dull. Adam Brody was great though.
