Good review baba. You summed up my feelings pretty much. Personally, I give Team America 2.5/4. I found it above average, don't get me wrong, but there are just a few too many slow spots in the film. I loved it, yes, but I really do reserve 3-4 and up for better movies. I found it suprisingly good, even with the occasioanl slow parts. Its a great novelty flick that audiances will enjoy for some time. Its the ultimate satire, really. What really stuck out to me was the detail. They were wonderful sets! Each puppet was good down to the last extra Panamanian or the Korean guard. I loved the Korean palace, the Team America base, all of it was really great. The creators did a great job taking this from blah to pretty darn near greatness.

Thats cool Zach.
You might see me rate something like Mystic River an A- and this an A. I just like to rate things based upon their genres as well. Comparing Mystic to Team America is comparing Apples to Oranges. I like to rate things according to what I think the movies set out to do : )

I just sent my Team America review to KJ, so it should be up in a little bit.
bABA, I went through your review, and it was really good. I liked how you pointed out why you didn't think you would enjoy it, and your feeling after seeing it, in reference to your religion. Keep it up.

The movie does come with its faults and is definitely not the best thing I’ve seen all year. But it is a pleasant change from the cliché horrors that we’ve been presented with in theatres for the past 2 years and will be talked about for some time.
My grade: B+

Though one thing I will add is that in my opinion, a cartoon such as Spongebob works best as a half hour show and not a feature length film as my biggest problem with WAS the fact that it seemed extremely stretched out.

Blade: Trinity

Out of the 3 Blade movies so far, the acting, direction and basically everything I mentioned above is weaker. But Blade Trinity is a whole lot of fun to watch if one is able to look beyond it
