Easily one of the most rancid purified pieces of shit I've ever witnessed on the big screen. I remember I saw this film before I ever started posting on movie forums to any sort of degree so the punch of its sub-par nature was even worse for not being prepared.

Symbolism designed for a 3 month old Lizard with brain damage, a climatic battle that was about as tame as two toddlers hitting each other with pillows, and a myriad of flow issues made this a painful painful exercise.

You'd have to threaten my entire family with death before I'd consider watching the next installment.

Badly-acted [outside Swinton], too light-hearted, and not even that epic. Luckily, it's enjoyable.

I've noticed that the older movie polls are not accurate, I have seen many in which it shows a different rating than the one I gave. Perhaps it was related to the new software upgrade in the summer, because I'd hate to think there was mod vote tampering going on...

IMO, a great start to the franchise. Enjoyed it a Lot and Liked the characters, especiaLLy AsLan. Great soundtrack as weLL. The mediocre battLe scene and poor CGI didn't bother me at aLL.

It's Like Harry Potter's goody two shoes brother. It's fun and good, but at the same time, it's very fluffy. I hate when people die only for another of them to have the convenient life giving drops. I don't really think I'm too excited for the sequel though, it should have came out 1 to 2 years ago.

This is one of my favorite movies. It is a perfect adaptation of one of the best, most original books I have ever read. From the first scene with the bombing, I felt for the Pevensies. But the real magic is when they enter Narnia, a world so wonderfully realized you really believe it could exist. So beautiful. Aslan didn't look like a real lion, but he was gorgeous nonetheless. Tilda Swinton's White Witch is a really great villain, totally menacing. She is unique in modern films, as instead of giving her some tragic backstory, she is evil at its most basic. I can't decide whether she represents the Pharisees, or the devil, or both. The Christian allegory is very well done, and much more noticeable in this film than in its two sequels. This movie is just so full of memorable characters and moments, it is a real shame that the franchise could not continue at this level of quality and box office returns.

That's fine. Eight slots in my top ten 30 are filled with Rocky and Rambo films, and most of my Top 30 are Stallone films. Why do you care what it looks like? I would just like to see what your favourite films are. You're a relatively new member, and one that seems to be sticking around, and I figured I really don't know what types of films you like (apart from the ones released since you joined like Into the Woods etc.), so I would love to see your Top 50.

I'm reading the reviews for this after re-watching the movie, and it seems like it has the same problems the first two Harry Potter films have in that its too kiddie. If you walk into it expecting something light and child friendly (as I did, having read the book), you can easily enjoy it.

Though really, Lucy's potion isn't any more convenient than "the Eagles are coming!"

I still love this and I mourn the state of the franchise [Caspian was good, Dawn Treader was kind of bad and we'll probably never see The Silver Chair, which is probably the second best of the books that I've read (I still have to read The Horse and His Boy and The Last Battle and I haven't read The Magician's Nephew since I was very little)]

I still remember seeing this, finding it mediocre and being infuriated that it outgrossed Peter Jackson's flawless King Kong remake during the Christmas 2005 season Crazy that was almost 11 years ago.
