 Re: Downfall
hitler didn't shock me as much as.... Dr. Goebles did! Killed all his children and the way he looked my god, freaky. Heinrick Himmler (that bastard) looked almost exactly like the one in real life.

 Re: Downfall
Don't feel sad Dr. Lecter... When it comes to films about the Nazi side of the war, everyone mentions this one and the films popularity has skyrocketed thanks to those infamous videos. It is available everywhere on DVD and at the Library all the 4-5 copies are always taken... everyone I know loves the film... Well not for it being fun... but for the great story and great acting especially of Hitler. Hands down one of the best foreign films ever and best from Germany and the film popularity has been massively boasted from the widely popular Viral videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4aQCiRjvZYthis one is beyond hilarious... This film is easily the best film with Hitler inside of it and shows the craziness. A- Anyone who likes historical movies or war movies, should watch it.

 Re: Downfall
I was thinking deeply and I now think I watched a part of "Nuit et brouillard". I remember the infamous "they turned bodies into soap" comment and looked it up and this is where it is from.
Just was thinking back to grade 10 history and I believe this film was shown in parts in class and the teacher gave a clear warning.
I thought at first it was a rather disturbing movie, than when I figured out it was real... I don't know about you guys, but at the age of 14 that scared the crap out of me and still does.

 Re: Downfall
I did not see it at the age of 14, and now it is merely, let's say, touching.

 Re: Downfall
The film is quite interesting in the start, but at the end where the film is all actual footage...
That is to much to handle for most people no matter how old they are.

 Re: Der Untergang [Downfall]
I especially liked the part where Hitler railed against Blu-ray.
