http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xvNpBQ-IKkShantel VanSanten talks about deleted scenes. And I really hate the idea of test audiences. According to producer Craig Perry, the original cut of the film was 106 minutes. The film felt too rushed! 106 minutes is about perfect. If the deleted scenes/extended cut are only on Blu-Ray like Warner is sometimes doing (they did it for Friday the 13th), that will really suck.

The ski lift thing bantered about before this one was made could work. Too bad they already used/wasted the train one at the end of part three. The movie theatre death could have worked too had they not used it. Hilarious though that the movie they were watching was The Long Kiss Goodnight. Although it would have been better had they been watching Snakes on a Plane, which would have been all kinds of awesomeness. Imagine that movie in 3D!
DVD tidbit - three endings were filmed, with different ways the people die, and they aren't in the same x-ray effect that was actually used. Apparently, their more similar to part one where you see it coming and then it cuts to the credits. The ski lift could be cool. Ski lifts make me nervous, so that would be good. Maybe a farming accident . Or on the water, like on a yacht or something. I have no clue why they wasted the ending of FD3. It would have made a good opening. I just hope that if they do make another they do something different. I am very sick of the same routine. It has exhausted itself. This one wasn't near as much fun as the others. And a character needs to discover some new aspect of death's design. Let a character really cheat death for once. Kris K wrote: Ooooh Bobby Campo is gay.

And Trick 'r Treat. I hate how they don't include the same special features on DVD's now. It's not fair to DVD buyers. I wish the film had been longer. It felt really rushed.

The Orphan DVD includes the deleted/alternate scenes. The only BR exclusive is a feature about evil kid movies. Those kind of features are never that great anyway.

 Re: The Final Destination
After not seeing any Final Destination films before this I was hesitant of wht to expect. Now I know to skip any more in this franchise completely. The film starts out promising with the first premonition from lead character Nick at a NASCAR event. After he is able to save his friends however, the film just becomes weak. Nick continues to see more premonitions of how the next person dies but the events of how these people will die become so predictable and don't offer any thrill or scare at all. Whenever they try to stop the system, it's just becomes another annoyance to the film. The movie theater climax and some bits of comedy were the only other things that saved this film whereas every other minute of this film was just boring, unthrillful, and stupid. Pass. *

You should really watch the first one. That's a truly great film and the accident in the second one is one of the greatest action scenes ever.

I would say that about the second. jmovies, it's a shame that this was your first one and you have let that decide for you whether or not to see the others. Because this is indeed the weakest of the series. I would still give the first a shot and see what you think. It has great atmosphere.

That is awesome and looks all kinds of professional. There should be a website for custom DVD covers people make.

I probably will check out the other films someday down the road just to see what all the buzz was about.

FD4 is far and away the worst of the lot. I could never see myself watching it again. The kills aren't particularly good, the characters aren't interesting, etc.

http://shocktillyoudrop.com/news/comics ... p?id=11700A hotel disaster could work for part 5. Cancun is a good setting too in that it's different than anything thus far in the series.

 Re: The Final Destination
The trouble is that the first three were centered around "basic" fears - air travel, driving, a roller-coaster. So anything they come up with is going to come off as lame compared to the simplicity of those fears.

Compared to Hallowen II it probably still seems like a masterpiece to you, TDS, doesn't it?

 Re: The Final Destination
Not really. Halloween II's a clusterfuck, but it's very interesting. Final Destination feels so very, very by the numbers. I mean, I went to see H2 again with a friend in L.A. just to witness the lunacy for a second time. I can't ever see myself really wanting to watch TFD again.

 Re: The Final Destination
TFD will have 25+ additional minutes added for the DVD (they cut it from 105 to 82 minutes), which could/should help make it feel not as rushed as it did.

 Re: The Final Destination
Are you sure that material is actually being reinserted? The movie felt so very slight that some meat on its bones could really help.

 Re: The Final Destination
The problem is...I don't really see what they can expand on. Yes, the lot was very thin but t didn't feel like something was missing. What can they add? More dialogue (?)...that's hardly the film's strong point either.
