 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
Did anyone else think Jamie Foxx was awful in this? Then again I don't really like him as an actor but idk. He felt out of place and was awful in TASM2 too so *shrug*

He was pretty bad in this and his character is written very thinly as well.

Foxx and McGuire were both terrible.

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
I adored this. One of the best Marvel movies ever and so hugely satisfying as a fan of the overall franchise.
Andrew Garfield was best in show here IMO. He absolutely crushed it. I LOVED the moment with him and MJ, beautiful and heartbreaking. He's my favorite Spider-Man and I was so excited when he showed up even though we all knew it was coming. I hope they figure out a way to bring him back again. His interplay with Maguire was cute too and I did get a little emotional when the original score from Maguire's movies started playing.
I was also surprised that they were able to keep Willem Dafoe's screentime such a secret, he has a HUGE role and is easily one of the most menacing MCU villains ever here. It was cool too bringing the franchise full circle with the first movie.
Zendaya and Holland also have really sensational chemistry.
For this being 2 1/2 hours it really flew by as well. Sensational popcorn entertainment.

Sorry for all the spoiler tag requirements but for those who have seen it I'm sure you know why we need them for this movie. I promise I'll remove all your tags next Friday. Thank you for understanding as always.

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
The movie is out why bother with the spoilers.
Easily best MCU movie. Brings three franchises full circle, not an easy feat A+

Think it'd be cool if they gave Andrew's Spider-Man a streaming show or something. Idk where it could be but it would do well I'd imagine

The more I think about this film, I’m just in awe of its existence. Whoever thought this up should win a Nobel prize, it’s just so incredibly genius. And the execution is so good too.

They both say at May's grave that they knew her because of Spider-Man, I guess even though Happy forgot Peter he still has memories of May somehow? Even though he probably doesn't knoe the connection lol idk

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
I knew it was coming but the big entrance of Andrew was one of the coolest movie moments of all time I was losing my mind. The audience reaction was also amazing too. I'll have to watch this again with a more critical eye but I'm really glad that it's making people so happy.

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
This is like a compilation of scene stealers. This was pure magic outside of the action scenes.
I can't wait for the dust to settle and They do the obvious trailer shot of all 3 Spider-Men landing on the statue liberty because I have a great idea for an article.
Bring on the Multiverse! I think my favorite joke may have been the jab at Flashpoint.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home - SPOILERS
Thank you everyone for helping with spoiler tags. I have removed all spoilers now that the weekend is gone and put the SPOILERS tag in the title (which will be removed at the end of first week). Please feel free to add any spoilers going forward without the tags.

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
He was such a sweet guy ... Until he fell into a pool of electric eels. THAT'll DO IT I think everyone knew what we were getting in the final battle of this movie. Those extra twentyish minutes of all the Spider-Mans bantering with each other were just unexpected gold though. The whole movie is really good, but this was something that only No Way Home could have delivered and that's what makes it so special.

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
Ok. So I would have written things differently, but the only thing I really find odd:
MJ and Ned not recognizing Peter at the end. Maybe I don't understand the spell, but Ned and MJ could knew Peter their whole Lives. And I agree Happy is weird too.
And bravo, William Dafoe is beyond incredible. He took a one note character to probably the best cinemtic super villian of all time.

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
I think this is being a bit over-hyped. It's a very good movie, and there are excellent parts and performances. But for me it's not on the level of TFA, AIW or Endgame. Electro and Connors just don't work for me in this. Especially Electro, who has a lot of screen time.
That said, the interplay between the 3 Spidey's is awesome. Garfield saving MJ from Gwen's fate was my favorite part.
Zendaya, Garfield, and Dafoe are excellent in this.

For me, TFA was more of an event, I enjoyed it more, and I still love the scene where Kylo and Rey both go for the saber and it flies past Kylo to Rey. From a pure film quality perspective, NWH has an argument. Electro really drags it down for me. Nothing in TFA distracted me from enjoying it that much.

Other than that its a plot point for plot point retread of ANH. TFA is closer in quality to ASM, which was a retread of SM 2002

I didn't realize Tom Holland and Zendaya, Andrew Garfield dated his co-star Emma Stone, Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst all dated each other. LOL
