 Re: Captain America: Civil War
I'm not asking for a Killgrave awesomeness, but something more than like the 6 scenes he was in would have been cool

 Re: Captain America: Civil War
I would have liked to have seen a different version of Zemo, with more of a connection to Cap somehow. That's what he had in the comics, and I think they could have worked that into this if they hadn't tied him into Age of Ultron as well. We already had enough ties to that one between Scarlet Witch and the woman whose son died there.
That's just a very minor thing though, I thought overall the film was bloody fantastic and did not feel like it was a two and a half hour movie. Time just flew by for me, and it sure got me pumped to see even more of the MCU. A coworker of mine felt like there wasn't really enough of an ending to the film, and I sort of agree, but that did not take away from my enjoyment of the film. The airport scene was fantastic, with Spidey and Ant Man being unexpected highlights.

 Re: Captain America: Civil War
Brilliant movie and very re-watchable. I have seen in 4 times now and every time I enjoyed it more than the last. It sets up next Avengers movie very nicely and action scenes are choreographed very well. The surprises felt very good but the motivations of Zemo didn't connect for me and the lengths to which he goes seem unjustified. Still Marvel has never been great on villains.

 Re: Captain America: Civil War
It was solid but I thought winter soldier was much better, the lack of a real threat\villain hurt the film a bit and I wasn't really sympathetic to Captain america , I think most people will come out favoring Tony Stark. The real stand out scene was of course the battle at the airport, I thought spidey and antman stole those scenes, its a real good introduction for spiderman, I was also happy with black panther in the movie, he had a much bigger part than I imagined. Also, does anyone else think it shouldn't be classified as a captain america film? Once Tony appeared in the movie I thought he took over the film, especially in the second half, I almost want to call it Iron man 4, lol.

Correct me if I am wrong, but does this have a sorta quasi political thriller vibe?

People all over social media who are bashing anyone who doesn't think the movie is perfect. Pathetic. Wonder if any of them even seen it yet

It's still YOUR opinion. Doesn't make it any more "right" than mine, or anyone elses.

 Re: Captain America: Civil War
Also, I guess you think I was obsessed with comic books when I was a child? I've read one "comic book" in my life, Watchmen, and that was just prior to the release of the film. I barely watched the Batman animated series and I've only seen bits and pieces of the original Superman films. I'd say my first comic book film I saw was Spawn? and the X-Men. You're getting defensive because your opinion doesn't really mean anything. Nobody's opinion does.

And yet you're so attached to those characters you get angry with critics for not liking films you haven't seen yet, as you did in the run-up to BATMAN V SUPERMAN.

 Re: Captain America: Civil War
I did not get angry at any critics, as I've stated many times. I was angry it was getting negative reviews, but I did not lash out at anyone. I am allowed to be upset a movie I want to see doesn't seem to be getting good reception. I will also get upset if the next star wars gets poor reviews leading up to its release. Because I want to see it and hope it's good. I don't get angry at them for not liking it. Though I did get angry at Lecter for being a dickwad and actively using his review to try and get people to not see the film. I think that's a shitty thing to do.

I wrote a review and I distributed it. That's what I do. Did I get people not to see the film this way? Of course, that's how reviews work for many people and many do trust my reviews.

When we originally discussed this, you stated that you were actively trying to get people to avoid it.

 Re: Captain America: Civil War
That is true. I actively wrote a review, which, in essence, states that the film is not worth seeing. That is my job.

Did you actively state that people should not see the film? Because if so, then I believe that's the incorrect, and dick-ish, thing to do.

Would you have a problem with what Lecter said if it was about, say, SCARY MOVIE 6?

 Re: Captain America: Civil War
Yes. Say it's a bad movie. But to actively say in a review "You shouldn't see this" etc. is poor form, imo.

 Re: Captain America: Civil War
Not really, no. But then, that's person to person and I'm normally aware of an individuals personal taste. But when I state my feelings on film, it's about how I liked/disliked it. I'm not going to tell someone what they should/shouldn't do.
