as everyone knows already, ROMCOM isn't my genre and Never Been Kissed is a film thats probably ranked amongst the worst of the romcom films i've ever seen.

So I just watched this for the first time in ages. My grade from when I was a teen obviously doesn't stand anymore but it is SO DAMN CUTE! Sure, it's a little weird that Vartan is flirting with a student and what exactly happened to his girlfriend we met at the club? But in any case, Barrymore is so wonderful here and it is just an adorable. I get so upset at the scene where they throw eggs at her. I also like her big moment where she says she's undercover... And that ending. I wanted to cheer. Such a wonderful, classic romantic comedy ending.

I haven't seen this in years but I loved it way back when. Thought it was adorable. Saw it twice theatrically. Michael Vartan was so gorgeous in this. If I had a teacher that looked like that I'd never have gotten any work done. Actually I would have because I would have been eager to please . But during class I would have done a lot of daydreaming.

I'd give it an 8/10 as well, maybe an A-.
