 Re: The Adjustment Bureau
Its really not as good as it should have been.
Agree too many plot holes (and this usually doesn't worry me) but why did the plan change even though they were meant to be together? Doesnt really add up.
But overall its a decent film, especially the political parts. Damon and Blunt have good chemistry and I never Roger Sterling and General Zod in the same film is probably reason enough to see it.

 Re: The Adjustment Bureau
I agree that its ideas don't always add up, but thankfully the romance works so perfectly well that it just didn't bother me. Blunt and Damon have a wonderful chemistry and the movie succeeds because of it. I loved them as a couple and was rooting for them to be together. I liked that their relationship took front and center as opposed to the focus being on the sci-fi elements.
Very slick, entertaining romance.

 Re: The Adjustment Bureau
I saw this last night and after some praise from people that I know, I walked away disappointed. It was definitely entertaining but it was a bit too bit on the sappy side (the ending... Really? Did it need to be so syrupy?). It also had more plot holes than one could count. But Damon and Blunt have sizzling chemistry and it was entertaining.
7/10

The chairman changed the plan, but there were very distinct remnants of it that caused them to both feel like they were still meant to be together. It's a satisfying if entirely unspectacular film. I really liked Blunt (performance and character) and as torrino said Damon can sell nearly anything anymore. It's a little goofy and distinctly flat from time to time and the schmaltzy, sappy ending with the god-awful voice over was pretty painful. Aside from that it was a perfectly acceptable ride that while for from logical was just entertaining to keep me onboard, just barely. **1/2or3/5orB-or62%

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

 Re: The Adjustment Bureau
I dug it as a diverting, semi-riveting romantic thriller. Just don't think about it too hard.
The ending is total bullshit though.

 Re: The Adjustment Bureau
I thought Matt Damon and Emily Blunt were fantastic together; their initial scenes getting to know each other were written perfectly. I liked how the Bureau wasn't shown to be all-knowing and all-powerful, as they had checks and balances and disputes among themselves. I reeeeally wanted to love it, but the ending was awfully disappointing. Maybe I was expecting a twist or two toward the end, but it fell flat.

 Re: The Adjustment Bureau
Just saw this -- enjoyed it quite a bit! Yeah, the ending was a bit too deus ex machina and there were indeed plot holes and so on, but I wasn't bored and I really wanted a happy ending for these two. Also I liked seeing New York for New York and not Toronto for New York. "Hey, that's a few blocks away from where we used to live!" my wife and I say whenever we see one of those scenes under the Brooklyn Bridge on the Brooklyn side.

 Re: The Adjustment Bureau
Matt Damon and Emily Blunt would still be my pick for best on-screen couple of 2011 for this film.
