This film demonstrates the lack of the good action and horror film Hollywood can make today. No Stars Your review deserves NO STARS.. I'm growing a little weary of these reviews that say how predictable the movie is.. What did you expect from a movie that's paying homage to the 1987 movie??? You say the PREDATORS are overdone.. That's how they are, that's how they have been for what?? 25 years or more since the original and now your bitching about it??? WTF?? That's the problem with movies like this and characters like this: You can't please everyone and in no way could they make a movie that everyoone would agree on with this character.. It's impossible, but 1 thing this movie does accomplish is making it a very good followup to the original and how any so called "fan" could be disappointed by that borders on nitpickiness at this point..Negative Predator reviews makes BKB go

In 90% of the reviews I've read on the internet, people mostly complain about how this movie was nothing new with no surprises and a been there, done that type of thing, but in the end, what the fuck did all of you expect when they said they were remaking this and paying homage to the original movie??? It's like the whole Freddy Krueger bit all over again: You were all excited to see a remake of Elm Street when in fact, that movie never covered anything new either and treaded the same ground all over again, yet, you all praised the shit out of it.. It's sort of hypocritical almost..

 Re: Predators
I don't think anyone was excited about a Nightmare remake on here, but this did enough to bring some dignity back to the franchise, and a good way to kickstart it back. This doesn't do too much new, but we need an actual sequel for a change. Every film is about trying to figure out what they are up against. They need a new formula, and I hope they make a sequel with Brody and the Girl.

I'm fairly certain I could go back and dig up threads proving this, but it just isn't worth it..

I doubt that it can beat 'The Last Airbender'.

 Re: Predators
It's actually quite good. The film does not treat you as an idiot and spoon-fed every element of the story, rather stating things rather simply and allowing the audience to fill in blanks. The mystery/thriller first half is far better than the dumbed-down action focused second, but all throughout it is a surprisingly entertaining film.

I agree about Topher Grace - - I can't believe that no-talent hasn't faded from view yet. But I did enjoy the rest of the cast, though I thought Laurence Fishburne was wasted. I completely agree on every point here bradley.

 Re: Predators
It's not terrible, but it's almost totally unnecessary.
Fishburne needed to be in it more.

 Re: Predators
I loved it (for what it was). A return to form the franchise after a dire run, including the awful Predator 2 and, worse still, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. Fans have been waiting 23 years for a well-crafted, worthy sequel to the McTiernan/Schwarzenegger film, and this is it. Brody was an inspired casting decision. The samurai fight was brilliant, I thought. Camp? Sure. But who cares? It was exciting and fun and over-the-top. I had a blast.

3/10 -> D-
Unnecessary movie to say the least. The setup that looks like it was meant for a video game doesn't help. The characters are laughable, the action is boring and I'm really tired of endings that set up a sequel. It's really bad. Predator 2 is like a masterpiece compared to this.

You are right. If 'Avatar' got three points, this one deserves at least one less.

 Re: Predators
This is pretty bad for the most part. Brody is good, but the rest of the cast is so ugh..The predators are cool, but they don't really do anything, except die actually. The finale is pretty cool, and there's some good action going on, but the rest of the movie, the how they got there, and the meaning of it all, is just weak. Fishburne's character doesn't add anything, is annoying in fact, and that whole part in his hide-out is so bad, it's funny actually. It's a very B-level movie by all standards, score is awful.
