What are they good for? About the only thing I can think of is suckin' my dick. Amiright bro? They are pretty good for cooking and cleaning too, dude.

I like when they scrub my back in the bathtub. At least they are good for something.

Women are good for many things, but I just don't find them funny. Jesus.

But if they eat beyond excess, then they are due some criticism, sure. The same goes for men.

 Re: Date Night
Must we turn every thread on this forum into a freakshow exhibit on Algren's general terribleness?

 Re: Date Night
Surely your post is adding to the exhibit. I'm no more terrible than anyone else. Most people are thinking what I am thinking, just they don't admit it. It's human nature to see a beautiful woman and want to have sex with her.

 Re: Date Night
It's very light, there are a few laughs here and there, but both actors have been in much better.

 Re: Date Night
The good: Steve Carell and Tina Fey. The movie lives and dies with them. For most of the running time, they're basically playing modified versions of Michael Scott and Liz Lemon, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Carell looks a bit bored at times, but he just naturally has that expression.
The bad: ... everything else. I'm a big proponent for ignoring flawed movie logic for the sake of enjoying a movie, but it is pretty far-fetched to imagine Carell and Fey are just skilled enough, and the bad guys are just inept enough, that everything works out the way it does. And for such an elaborate concept, things move fairly quickly (although not a negative).
And Date Night is one of those movies where pretty much every actor I recognize. They littered the cast with names but no one really stands out in their bit roles. Mark Wahlberg's role was probably meant to be a scene-stealer, but Carell and Fey always out-do him. Same for James Franco and Mila Kunis.
There's nothing horrifically bad about Date Night. It moves at a brisk pace, there are a few chuckles, and it's saved by the two leads. If this was a better film, they could have had a few movies together by now I'm sure. They have great chemistry. But overall, Date Night is as forgettable as they come. See it if you love Carell and Fey, but for no other reason.
C+
