I thought CURSED was a very fun movie, I'm shocked so many of you "horror buffs" hate it so much. It's one of the best horror movies of the year, I'm really happy I own it.
8/10 (B+)

Ewww, I didn't think it was all that great. Since when is it required for every horror movie buff to adore every horror film? I'm sorry, but I didn't enjoy this.

I enojyed it. It's a shame more people didn't give this movie a chance. Are people rejecting self-referential horror movies now? I fear horror audiences are regressing back toward 'serious' horror films that have no mainstream appeal...
People thought maybe a corner had been turned for this genre when "Scream" came out back in '96...but apparently not.

In some oddly campy way the film works. There are a few good jumps here and there, but that's really the only thing about the movie that is scary. The CGI werewolves look absolutely awful. The acting is also somewhat mediocre, but that is expected in films like these. Overall, for a film that had a lot of production problems, the film succeeds more than it should've. It's not a great horror film, or even a good one, but I admit that I was entertained throughout.

Did you see the rated or unrated version? I'm curious as to how much the unrated version adds, as usually it really isn't a big deal.

I saw the unrated version. I didn't see the PG-13 version so I can't compare the two, but the unrated version if rated, definetly would've recieved an R rating. The movie is gory, and uses the word "Fuck" too many times for it to be a PG-13 film.

Ah, I don't recall the "F" word at all in the version I saw [Theatrical, PG-13 version]. And the gore wasn't all that great either. I might need to rent the unrated version just to see.

Yeah, there weren't any fucks in the PG-13 version of the film.

Cursed could have been a good movie. Perfect example of a trainwreck.
So much promise.

A fun, ridiculous horror movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, and ends up being a blast because of it.

This movie certainly doesn't deserves the hatred it gets. I saw the Unrated Version thast was shown here in theatres and I must say this movie had a good share of quite gory scenes, so it definitely didn't lack in the blood 'n gore department, in my opinion. Certainly, most of the CGI transformation effects looked pretty dodgy and the movie wasn't even nearly as witty or sharply-writted like the masterpeice Scream, but it was still great, light horror entertainment. Pretty much an equaivalent to a cinematic Big Mac. Not healthy, but from time to time good to have.
The first twist worked well for me, the prolonged ending not so much. A lot of unrealistic scenes in this one to be handled, but I found it to be a very enjoyable experience overall.

So, so bad. Terribly bad. Laughably awful. Nothing in this movie is redeemable. Crappy acting, convoluted plot, terrible effects, and a horrible attempt at humour. I also saw the Unrated Version, and the gore does not look scary, or even believable - just bad. An insult to werewolf films.

I actually bought this for 5 bucks. It's the unrated version and although it is not scary in the least, it is entertaining. some of it is actually downright hilarious. I can forgive it for not being scary since it was so entertaining in parts. American Werewolf in London this is not, although Rick Baker did work on this as well. Some of the bad things in this film are Joshua Jackson and every single line written for him. And what the hell is Scott Baio doing in the film? Portia DiRossi is also terrible and some of the logic is so bad as well. But then again just when I think I hate it, it entertains me again. I won't see it again, unless its on TV, but I would recommend it to anyone looking to laugh and be entertained.
6.5/10

Easily among the worst, if not the worst, horror films of the decade. A laughable, poorly constructed, and embarrisingly acted affair that one can easily tell is an R-rated flick chopped up(very hastily) into a PG-13 film. The only thing that saves it are a few unintentional chuckles. D-
No wonder Craven has distanced himself from this atrocity.

Terrible film... Fast foward button used; therefore, I can't go any higher than a D-.

 Re: Cursed
Watched this again, not voluntarily. Anyway, it's really, really bad. Worse than I remember it. Jesse Eisenberg is likable in Zombieland and great in The Social Network. But this is a perfect example of any of his talent being misused. He's irritating, bordering on hateful here. Josh Jackson is Josh Jackson. Ricci is especially bad here. She's not Ms. Academy Award, but she's typically better than this. The whole movie seems like a bad joke.

8/10 (B+) This was REALLY bad as far as Werewolf movies go.. You know what killed this movie for me?? The scene toward the end when the Werewolf flipped the middle finger at Ricci.. What the absolute fuck was that and who thought to put that scene in the movie??

 Re: Cursed
Why spoiler tag it when you mentioned the very same thing two posts before? And why spoiler tag a movie that's six years old?

I still say one of the better werewolf movies is The HOWLING which is underrated when compared to American Werewolf in London.. The HOWLING though felt Primal, felt Raw and the FX kicked ass in a practical non-CGI sort of way..
