Upsetting?!
It's not exactly like it was a rape scene or something...

A bit disappointing, but not bad. I didn't find any of the movie hilarious, but it was funny, for the most part. The Saw, Brokeback Mountain and Oprah/Tom Cruise spoofs were the best of bunch. Million Dollar Baby's spoof sucked, though.
B-
I'd rank 'em like this:
1. Scary Movie - A
2. Scary Movie 3 - B+
3. Scary Movie 2 - B
4. Scary Movie 4 - B-

#2 was my favorite as well, I laughed more in it than any movie ever. I haven't seen this one yet, though I didn't really love SM3 so I doubt it'll match up that greatly. As of now:
Scary Movie 2 - A
Scary Movie - A-
Scary Movie 3 - B
I'm a big fan.

I'm with you 2. the only way to enjoy no 2 is to go down to its level.

There's a huge difference between the humour in DATE MOVIE (ie gags for preteens) and SM2 (ie grotesque and adult toilet humour).

The cat was raping his penis! UPSETTING.
I rank the second the best. It was just so bizarre and hillarious. Hanson is one of the best characters ever and I loved the scene where Cindy was driving and listening to that crazy named lady's graduation song. Vitamin or something.
Not to be rude to whoever liked the latest two the best, but they are seriously vanilla 85% of the time. Like the humour is something kids laugh at when they are 8. The 25% that works kind of makes up for it because it usually reallly works.
1. Scary Movie 2 [B] - There are things that annoy me about it, (the talking parrot was funny twice. Not every 20 seconds, Dwight was a really awful character and Tim Curry was blech ) and there are about 20 minutes of footage that could have easily been cut. But the scene with Brenda hiding from Cindy really made this film totally 100% bearable. Brenda and Cindy had a lot of sceentime here and thats why it's my favourite.
2. Scary Movie [B] some really great scenes but you know, not as memorable to me as the second.
3. Scary Movie 3 [C+] Bleh. Mostly unfunny because simon rex and charlie sheen sucked ass. Some of the jokes were pathetically bad "i have a dream....to have a dream". The 8 Mile spoof was terrible and went on for ever etc. But there were scenes that were really funny. Cindy as the news reporter. The Aliens walking past on the video camera. The whole thing with the Ring. Those scenes made me laugh
4. Scary Movie 4 [C] - I don't know but after the first half of the movie I could have left and given this a B. It really just hit a brick wall and we were left with unfunny, drawn out gags that didn't click at all.

Grotesque gags do not equal adult humor. A chick blowing a guy and getting cum-bombed to the ceiling is not adult humor.

I think I would rank the first and 3rd equally.
Scary movie- B+ The acting was horrible, but it was really the first R spoof that was very funny. Some great moments though.
Scary movie 2- C Like earlier stated, you really need to go down to enjoy it. Its too over the top and the acting is still horrible. Really the only jokes I liked were a suprisingly great performance by Chris Elliot, his hand really is the most rediculous thing ever, and the opening was probably the best of the series. Woods was great.
Scary Movie 3- B+ Really, as far as movies go, its very incoherent, but most of the jokes are very clever, and didn't rely as much on slapstick as the fourth. Sheen was great and the acting and directing was just all around better. The only main problem was the addition of a main plot, not having to do with a scary or Sci fi film. It was good to have a few outside jokes that went out, but that went too far, and I think hurts the jokes in the process.
Scary Movie 4- B I liked it alot, and I've given my review. Some awesome jokes, but some were painfully bad. Its a good time at the movies though, and bring on Scary Movie 5.

The cum sticker scene was the first, right?
I thought it was funny when I was 11.

The cum scene was in both the first and the second. One time it was funny. The next? Not so much.

I fail to see how Scary Movie 3 can be a C+ and SM4's an F, considering how similar they are.

SM4 was a enjoyable film that was easy to watch. I liked the cameos (especially in the beginning SAW spoof), and I thought the WotW, M$B, and Ring jokes worked good. The Village gags didn't work quite as well, but the movie was what it was and did exactly what you'd expect it to (lots of low brow humor). I give it a B.
As for the others in the series... Scary Movie 2 (B+) is my favorite. I love Chris Elliot in that flick. That would be followed by Scary Movie 4 (B), then Scary Movie 1 (B-), and then Scary Movie 3 (C).

At least the third was funny, the fourth had next to no humor at all.

the best joke in the third was this...
Brenda: I saw this videotape and It had some really shocking images, cindy.
Cindy: Brenda It was Mardis Gras and I had run out of beads!
