 Re: A Christmas Story
Watching it now for Christmas. Not just one of my favorite Christmas movies, one of my favorites overall. It perfectly depicts children and their outlook on life in general, as well as their vivid imaginations.

 Re: A Christmas Story
I saw this for the first time back in 2005. I actually didn't think it was anything special. Maybe if I'd seen it as a kid it would have been different. I'd give it a 7/10 ( B- ).

 Re: A Christmas Story
No, seeing it as a kid didn't help me. Only as I got older did I learn to appreciate it. It works best when you're older to see how close they come to capturing the Christmas experience (and childhood in general) of a young kid.

 Re: A Christmas Story
They really do. It's pretty brilliant. My boyfriend has never seen this (???!!!). That is definitely changing tonight. Thanks TBS!

F
Ugh!! I can't stand this movie, and it's 24-hour marathon. I never have liked it from the first time I saw it, I didn't think it was that funny either.
Miracle on 34th Street is superior.

 Re: A Christmas Story
Is that an F because you thought it was one of the worst films ever made, or is that an F because you're so annoyed with it by now from its constant praise and 24-hour marathons every year that the mere mention of this movie causes you to cringe?

 Re: A Christmas Story
I've watched it three times so far since the marathon started.
