Great film!

Should have never doubted Tony Scott for a second. It's almost on par with Man on Fire. I really love his style with his films, and Domino is no exception. The action scenes are excellent. Keira Knightley gave her best performance yet as Domino Harvey. She fit the role perfectly. Also, the supporting cast (especially Rourke) gave solid performances as well.

However, the film had minor problems. It felt a little too long, the desert scene was stupid, and the ending was kind of weak. But other than that, it's one of the more overlooked films of last year.

Good lord. Domino is not the type of film to watch if you have the cold, because not only am I sneezing and coughing, you can add headache to the list as well. That saying though, it's a really good film that is hindered by some of the editing, the time length and certain scenes. For instance the scene in the desert, although good, reaked of Oliver Stone. As a matter of fact, some of the editing reminded me of Natural Born Killers, though this film is not as good. Everyone gives a solid performance, and the performances are the reason to see the film.

Wasn't very good. I'm not an enemy of "music video" style, but there's no sin on focusing on an image for a split second before moving to the next one.

Someone said it was self-indulgent... it definately is.

Narrative is a bit of a mess... some uneeded tangents, and some of the contrast was turned too high. He made Lucy Liu look terrible.

Keira is good. Rourke is good. Nice to see Dabney Coleman.

The film needed more time to just... breathe.

Also, almost everything in the movie but Domino's history is completely false. Choco is, in fact, still alive. There was no reality talk show, there was no Brian Austin-Green and Ian Zering... leading me to wonder... why the hell build them into the script in such a prominent way in the first place?

"Based on a True Story....Sort of"? It was never supposed to fully reflect the truth.

Greatttt movie. The best pure blood action that I've seen in a long time. And the editing works. Keira really is fantastic, she will definitly be picking up Oscars sometime in the near future. Action sequences were good, dramatic sequences were good, the narrative and wrap-around aspect worked, and I liked the length. It almost absolutely perfect, I only had 2 problems with it, one minor and one major. The first was the priest in the desert like a lot of you already said, though I didn't mind that part all too much. The second, which is a major one, is the ending. Tony Scott, I seriously love you, but did you have to use the exact same ending as True Romance? It wasn't just similar, it was the exact same fucking thing. I mean, come on. It's pure self-plagarism, and I think he knows it. Anyways, if it wasn't for that ending, I would've gaven it an even higher grade and it probably would've been in my top 2 or 3 of the year. Still a fantastic movie though.

Highly kinetic, energetic flick. Scott's fingerprints are all over this one. The acting is decent, and the main character's story is somewhat interesting, but it's muddled up in some overtly convoluted plot involving something with the DMV. Didn't quite get that, but that may be because I was drinking and not paying full attention. But still, what was the point of the scene on Jerry Springer? To introduce the terms blacktino, chinegro, and japanic? I admit, I found those slightly humourous, but it really had nothing to do with the story of a bounty hunter. Keira was good, and fairly hot, so it didn't go wrong there. Still, not much made sense.

Hm... I actually really enjoyed the rhythm of the film. The camera work done in Man on Fire bothered me a lot, here, not so much.

The cast's good, tone's well done. One of the things I was bothered with was that I felt like the film didn't focus on the Domino's character enough. Eh, I don't know. Still, I thought the film was pretty decent.

The film is absolutely ridiculous. It's convoluted, does no justice to Domino's story, and the "gritty" stuff Scott resorts to like the immediate playback of bits of dialogue is quite grating.

But it never stops. The energy is fantastic, and although it is self-important, it complements the material rather than detracting from it.

Keira's also completely believable, I thought.

I'm glad I picked this one up. Some say the manic camerawork and editing in Tony Scott's films don't work for them. That's a shame. I really enjoy it. It really makes a stark contrast of the more mellow scenes when the camera work isn't so flashy. The story was full but not too intricate. The characters were memorable but not over-the top. It had a good blend of humor and drama. The acting was solid all around. Keira Knightley was fantastic. It did feel a bit dragging, but only barely.

Good, crazy style, and it was fun to watch. Though the ending which was most likely the most fictional part, Scott seemed to just bory True Romance and finish it the same way. Still entertaining.
