This is the only line in the entire movie that made me laugh outloud.

Hilarious Film!!! How can someone not laugh at Stiller in this? Yes this movie is stupid, but thats what its supposed to be. The gasoline scene had me crying. Stiller and Owen are great togethor. I think I see a trend of if Owen is in the lead he seems to dissapoint, but if he is the co star or supporting star he usually does very well. A-/B+

Delivered on the funny, which is all it wants to do, and it does it v. well. Not as mindblowingly hilarious and memorable as Anchorman, but...funny. Ferrell was definitely the best part (The latte line, hee). And the GASOLINE FIGHT!

EDIT: Oh, and a sequel would be awesome. You still have the underworld model-ring to deal with!

Zoolander is a special case for me. On face value, it's not a brilliant comedy or anything. If I had to give it a blank slate grade without any previous connection, A- would probably fit.

But it is my all-time most rewatchable movie, and it defined my movie loving youth growing up. Instantly quotable, lovable, memorable, it is a classic. It for a long time resided as my absolute favorite, but for now it stays in my all time top 10.

I caught it again today on Comedy Central for the first time since I originally bought the DVD. It was much funnier than I remember it being and I found it funny the first time around. Also, would this be considered the first "Frat Pack" movie? It has Stiller, Owen, Ferrell and Vince Vaughn in a cameo (Which I didn't realize until today), or was there one before it that I'm forgetting.

Anyways, A-

Yeah I've always considered it kind of the father of the frat pack, though Stiller and Wilson had done a couple movies together in the past.

I definitely agree that it grows on you. I recently rewatched this and found it to be one of the funniest movies ever. I bought it this weekend too, actually. There are soooo many hilarious and memorable lines.

One of the best comedies I've ever watched. Mindless fun. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are hilarious and Will Ferell has a superb supporting role.

this movie is a work of genius looking at it now, but it honestly blew past the barriers of stupid comedy back when it came out, which had never been approached in the way Zoolander approached them, and it succeeded on every level (stupid yet lovable characters, a story that works perfectly within the world they live in, an ending that fits the mood of the movie's intended stupidity, etc...). Definitely wasn't a hit when it came out, but as many films inspired by its humor gained popularity, its achievements became more realized.

The godfather of retard comedy :funny:

I've recently decided that this is actually my favorite movie. It's THE movie for me where I know all the lines and have seen it a billion times.

while it's not my all-time favorite movie, it's definitely the one where I know most lines. If I watched it once to refresh the jokes, on the next viewing, I could probably get a good 90% of the film down nearly word-for-word.

I LOOOOVE this film. Ridiculous and over-the-top humor, which is so funny its pain-inducing, loooots of super memorable scenes and lines.

And Mugatu is the funniest villain ever.

I remember people talked about this when it came out and said how they left the theatre early. Now I can't find anyone who doesn't think it's hilarious. Strange how time has changed the views on this one.

I didn't find it very funny back then and I still don't. That's surprising since I more often than not find films with the people involved in this one funny.

The Doc didn't find Zoolander funny because it's just like everyday life in Germany...

A+

This movie has a secretly ingeniuous story...the idea of a man being brainwashed to be controled by a government could make a pretty thriller if it were serious.

Dont take this the wrong way, but I STRONGLY advise watching this lit/high (if your into that sorta thing) if you dont see the comedy.

Youll be on the floor.

For such a short movie it drags and a lot of the jokes don't land but I'm keen to see what they do with the sequel.
