This forum is so far from reality it's getting ridiculous.
We're like that creepy cult that we started off of another cult, and now we're making up alternate realities... I'm the guy that visits you every day to make sure you haven't gone completely insane and started making the kool-aid.

It can be right sometimes.
A few years back, the Forum was making Obama sound like the next Prophet, in the end he became President.
Then it has epic fails like with Children of Men. (Saw that Thread, Hilarious)

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
I don't really see the point of adding a whole thing here. I agree with most of what has been said, awesome actions scenes, shitty everything else. Megan Fox proves once again that unfortunately models sometimes get misplaced as actors, LaBuff goes overboard under the obviously weak hand of Bay, and any time that action scenes and giant robots aren't on screen it's a shitty film. 2/5.
In other words, Munky is wrong, what else is knew on WOKJ?

Bumblebee kicks all kinds of ass in this. Despite thinking both films are pretty meh, I'll pay to see Transformers 3 if Bumblebee's given a bigger role. Love that guy.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
I still enjoy it but I must admit the cracks show badly on the second viewing (think you excellent quality TS)
Like the fact that during the entire Final battle sequence the Egyptian army never shows up! Now I know those lads can be tardy but I would assume a major attack on their main landmarks would have sped them up somewhat. I shall rewatch the Jetfire scenes to sate my sadness.

On par with Terminator Salvation and X:Men Wolverine. I gave it a + because Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is literally the loudest movie I've ever seen. Maybe I've been in the woods too long but my eyes/ears/brain still hurt

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
I've never been a Bay apologist. I think his movies are pretty fuckin awesome. The Rock, on my all-time top movies list. The Island, one of the best sci-fi films of the last 20 years. But Transformers 2 is all noise and blur. It's without a point or purpose, meandering from scene to scene. And even if it exists solely for summer spectacle, it fails at that too. I'm all for big dumb fun movies, I love them. But Transformers 2 is something completely different. I found this review interesting: http://io9.com/5301898/michael-bay-fina ... -art-movie

It really isn't. There isn't a single thing fun or interesting or entertaining about Transformers 2. It's kinda miserable actually, joyless. It's The Reader with robots. Not only does one need to turn their brains off but they also have to shut their eyes, plug their ears, and go to sleep to survive it. And its about 5 hours too long.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
It was as good as the first, but god, it looses steam in the end. Its way too long. Solid B, but my god, Bay's biggest mistake is trying to make a popcorn film like this epic, it just isn't. Funny, probably better action than the last since you can tell who is who.

I found this review interesting: http://io9.com/5301898/michael-bay-fina ... -art-movieI almost loved that review as much as I loved watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen! Either you get on board this loopy ride or you don't, but I'm all about Michael Bay making a summation of his work in the form of a sequel to a movie based on toys. What Michael Bay only has one plot? What Michael Bay movie doesn't have people managing to outrun explosions? What Michael Bay movie has ever run under two hours? (The answer is Bad Boys alone. To be fair, Revenge of the Fallen is longer than most of his repertoire. It's just as long as Armageddon, and 33 minutes shorter than Pearl Harbor.) His humor is consistently tasteless, albeit ratcheted up into Borat-like satire when he makes a sequel. He's a damn proud conservative, with governments that consistently lie to the public and soldiers so noble they make most men crumble. He likes having large casts that run the gamut of stoicism. If you take any part of Transformers 2 seriously, I can see why you'd be jones'd about the blatant disregard towards coherence and plot. I just love the way he blows shit up, and happen to think there's more than meets the eye to this supposedly retardedly dumb sequel.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
It was odd. At least 30 minutes too long. No plot, no point, nothing original or exciting. But it was fun to see how much stuff they could blow up in however many minutes I was trapped in the theater.
Decent summer spectacle. Nothing more. B-

This isn't a movie; it's a fucking assault on the senses. All of them.
I'm not sure if I liked this or not, but I certainly don't ever want to see it again.

I'm not sure if I liked this or not, but I certainly don't ever want to see it again. Not being a movie at least justify its existence. Otherwise it'd be just another shitty blockbuster (I suppose, for a lot of people it is). Exactly the same story. It is probably the most idiosyncratic movie I've seen in a theatre.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
But Prime seems to change the meaning of "one" in every confrontation! And Megatron got away! The only possible way I can see Transformers 3 working is if Megatron all of the sudden goes political and goes to Iran/North Korea and offers them a deal if they'll help him take Earth's Energon meanwhile setting up this psuedo odd situation where the Autobots just can't go attack them, they have to wait for the Decepticons to come out of the countries... ...and behind the scenes the Decepticons are undermining the US relationship with the Autobots further, leading to an eventual global thermo-nuclear stand off... maybe the Seekers hold the knowledge to prevent this crisis. Did I just outthink the series? Okay how about this: ...the space star-fragment could land and Optimus and Bumblebee must get to it to save Sam before Megatron can launch a missile that will bring the Moon crashing to Earth unless they can stop him in time!
