Kathy Bates was at least deserving of an Oscar nomination for this. Jennifer Jason-Leigh doesn't do much other than sulk. It's a good movie. Recent Oscar nominee David Straitharn is creepy as the husband who suffers an 'unfortunate accident'. My grade: B+.

I agree, Kathy Bates was fantastic in this film, memorable even. The story, while good, somehow doesn't really stick to me after viewing the film. ONly if I see the movie again in cable, everything comes back to me.
