Nacho Libre was mildly amusing thanks to Jack Black, but overall it felt like a story that could have been told in 10 minutes, but was drawn out to 1 1/2 hours. I actually laughed more at the 2 minute trailer for Will Ferrell's new race car movie than I did for the entire NL movie.
I didn't hate it... it just never clicked completely and seemed kind of pointless. My grade: C

Hmm... I may have been in a good mood, but I really liked it. And I hated Napolean Dynamite, so. The comparisons aren't there for me. Maybe it's Jack Black. I really do like him. Maybe because wrestling is the center of the film. Either way, I liked it a lot.

By and large it satisfies, but it's not a knockout. While most of the jokes and visual gags hit, Jack Black didn't work for me. It felt as if he was constantly trying to break through his stupid brownface schtick to be truly unleashed, but the Nickelodeon fart jokes keep him at bay. Still, it's a light, breezy film and even when I wasn't laughing, it managed to maintain my interest aside from a few scens that just fell flat (the eagle egg bit with Peter Stormare felt completely out of place). Also a C. Besides the lack of humor, they also dropped the ball in making the Lucha Libre wrestling an exciting/entertaining/possibly comedic spotfest, instead it was just dull fighting.

I liked it quite a bit. It's a little too quirky at times, but it's consistently funny. Not laugh out loud funny (With a few exceptions), but subtle, and I love that kind of humor.
The corn on the cob in the eye, along with Nacho's song were hilarious.
