Yeah, Team America surprised me... at how freakin' average it is. I saw it last night, and it is the definition of a one joke movie (we get it, puppets look awkward). There are also several moments in the film where it goes five minutes or so without a single laugh, and that just doesn't work in a movie like this. There are indeed some pretty funny bits (the sex scene brought the house down), but overall it's just not nearly as funny as it should have been. I'm not even going to get into the fact that the worst part of the movie is the message (who cares what happens in the world, just make fun of everything), as that doesn't really have anything to do with one's entertainment taken from it. One funny side effect of this movie (funnier than anything in the movie, actually) is watching both sides of the political spectrum trying to manipulate the films events so that they fit their sides. Um, guys... this a movie that feautres a puppet throwing up for three minutes, who gives a shit who's side it's on?

I also doubt legs will be strong. Too bad, because Trey and Matt are talented guys.
