Would be something if Dune only gets 1 week at #1 lol. Good that Panda is doing well though.

Would like to see LLB hit $3M. Hopefully it'll get a bump from the story about the man who was arrested for "falling asleep" in the movie. Dune getting to $30M would be impressive too. Feeling good about $300M. I'll do my part and see it again next week!

Good #s for Panda and Dune. Even Imaginary is looking at asub-50% drop.

Re: Mar 15 - 17 #'s
30 mil would've been a believable 1st weekend for KFP4 if slightly underwhelming so making it on 2nd is pretty impressive. Only 7.5 for Arthur. -37% for Dune is great obviously.

Re: Mar 15 - 17 #'s
Updated #'s:
Panda $30.15M (up $150K from initial estimate) -48.0% Dune $28.5M (down $600K from initial estimate) -38.3%
Good that Panda stayed above $30M. There will be schools rotating on spring break between now and Easter so should be interesting to see it's weekday performance. It has Easter in its 4th weekend so everything in its favor to make a run for $200M.

The Lorax in March 2012 managed to get close to $300m adjusted. So this has a high floor IMO

Re: Mar 15 - 17 #'s
Updated top grossing Oscar best picture winners by domestic boxoffice (unadjusted). Oppenheimer just $659K away from Forrest Gump. Made $55K on Tuesday. If it can't reach $1B globally, #3 on this list seems at least achievable. Incredible since Titanic/LOTR both had the Christmas holidays/peak awards season to sustain their runs while Oppenheimer feels like a Forrest Gump peak summer type run. Instead of Barbieheimer, Gump dealt with The Lion King in its 3rd week.
1 Titanic $674,292,608 2 LOTR3 $379,427,292 3 Forrest Gump $330,455,270 4 Oppenheimer $329,796,215 5 Gone With The Wind $200,882,193
