Your post is much better organized than Libs. The old way is OVER.

As for comments on grosses. Poor SITH still losing % points.

It's funny seeing the two of you post the same data at the same time. I never thought a Wednesday Numbers Thread would be fought over.

The numbers are weird. I can't see a pattern. Madagascar increases, Monster-in-Law decreases. Cinderella Man drops, Crash has a nice, comfy rise. No pattern.

Libs posts from the same source, and she would have taken advantage of the new table format as well. We should thank Eagle for providing us the technology.

Madagascar is following Shrek 2's weekdays and should have another increase today. Cinderella Man is still just OK. Traveling Pants is on the way to have the smallest drop this weekend, and -65% is the minimum I see Lords of Dogtown's drop now.

And indeed that drop on tuesday spared Sith of bigger drop for wednesday. Good call Mike.

For reference, AOTC dropped 7.6%, TPM 4.7%.

Lords of Dogtown continues to flop over and die. I think a total over $12M is unlikely.

Madagascar and Sisterhood look like they may be headed for slender drops this weekend, though I'm worried about Cinderella Man droping around 30% like The Terminal did if it's going to have the second-biggest decline in the top ten.

Also, the table format? Confuses me...I can't figure out how to use it. Heh.

Thank you. I figured it would equal out in the end, and Sith is doing just fine. Had it dropped like AOTC, then I would have been worried.

PEACE, Mike ;)

Libs, use this. Just replace the "<" and ">" with "[" and "]"

<table>
<row>1 MADAGASCAR<col><b>$2,776,311</b><col><color=blue>3.8%</color><col>$670<col>$108,377,310
<row>2 STAR WARS: EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH<col><b>$2,311,696</b><col><color=red>-1.4%</color><col>$633<col>$314,971,587
<row>3 THE LONGEST YARD<col><b>$2,174,668</b><col><color=red>-4.7%</color><col>$598<col>$102,516,168
<row>4 CINDERELLA MAN<col><b>$1,629,750</b><col><color=red>-5.8%</color><col>$580<col>$23,366,510
<row>5 THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS<col><b>$1,128,250</b><col><color=blue>1%</color><col>$437<col>$16,868,911
<row>6 MONSTER-IN-LAW<col><b>$660,000 (estimate)</b><col><color=red>-0.8%</color><col>$218<col>$73,052,000
<row>7 LORDS OF DOGTOWN<col><b>$451,348</b><col><color=red>-8.2%</color><col>$242<col>$7,116,798
<row>8 CRASH<col><b>$391,735</b><col><color=blue>0.7%</color><col>$297<col>$42,060,288
<row>9 KICKING AND SCREAMING<col><b>$292,320</b><col><color=blue>10.3%</color><col>$160<col>$48,506,155
<row>10 THE INTERPRETER<col><b>$102,900</b><col><color=blue>3.5%</color><col>$150<col>$70,693,865
</table>

Just remember to use <row> to begin a new entry and <col> to add an entry in a column.

Good for Madagascar and Pants. Crash is almost to $50 million. Excellent run. Kingdom of Heaven will top out at $48 million or so. Pathetic.

Torrino's right - there's no real pattern to these. It's almost "younger the audience, better the performance", but yet not. Well, nice for Madagascar and not nice for Dogtown, whatever the explanation.
