Re: AVENGERS: ENDGAME - Opening Weekend Predictions I can't see why this would not out open and out gross Infinity War. The only thing that could stunt the OW BO is the possible 3 hour run time but even then it should at least match the last film.
This is the culmination of 11 years of buildup, it will break records.

Re: AVENGERS: ENDGAME - Opening Weekend Predictions Yeah those trailer views are extraordinary, especially for something that has no money shots whatsoever. The hype/anticipation for this feels just as high as it was for IW and I think it helps this film immensely that reception for it for it was so strong. I don't see this being another Revolutions or At World's End which were coming off of poorly received predecessors.

The 640M figure becomes 840M once you include the opening in China (where it was released in early May). IF (and it's a big if) Disney manages to open the movie date-to-date in China too, 1 billion still requires an explosion in China (250M OW) and a 20% rise in the other markets. Chances are very slim, and will rely almost entirely on an improvement of exchange rates (which are now even worse than when IW was released, especially in China and LA). _________________
