Wonder Woman will probably make just under 10M this weekend with that Friday, unless it has a bigger Sat increase than it has been. That would put it down 37% against the somewhat inflated holiday last weekend. Excellent hold.

The quest for $400m still lives in Wonder Woman! Can we add a quest to $100m for Baby? Never thought I'd say that but it would be glorious!

Feeling $130+M for Spider-man, I think today is going to be ridiculous.

If so, the film definitely has a good shot at the top film of the summer and at the very least top Guardians 2

Great start for Spider-Man. It's the biggest OD for the franchise in about 11 years which is insanely impressive when you consider how much damage those TASM movies did to the brand. This just goes you no matter how much you think audiences are fatigued seeing a certain character as long as it's done right they'll still show up. Marvel/Disney really knew what they were doing from the start and now Sony is reaping the rewards.

Good holds for everything not named Transformers as well, especially Despicable Me, Baby Driver and Wonder Woman. I seriously think WW will be taking that summer crown unless Spidey has a much better run than expected.

It's Wonder Woman versus Guardians, I don't think Spidey will have the legs necessary to factor into this.

Good that SMH stayed above $50m mark. It should cross $130m at this pace.

The fact that it had the best hold of any movie this weekend despite facing pretty direct comic book competition is pretty astounding. And it's probably at the point in its run where theaters are more likely to keep it since they'll be getting a decent percentage of its gross.

Great expansion for The Big Sick too. Might reach $4 million for the weekend, which sets it up beautifully for a great wide expansion next weekend.

It just proves that Wonder Woman's demo even this late into its run is still loyal feminists that would not go and see Homecoming even if it was the last movie to ever be made. Which also means that despite Homecoming being a superhero film like Wonder Woman, it isn't direct competition, because if it were we would have seen a much steeper drop.

RTH is saying $34m Saturday, which imo would be low.
