 Sing! Sub 175m Club While The Secret Life of Pets has been a huge hit, Illumination still has Sing! coming at the end of the year, and it looks like awfully derivative trash. Looks like it could have a few laughs, but it moreso looks like an animated Muppets ripoff. Add in Rogue One, Trolls and Moana, and families will be well served without giving money to this.
At best it will be the Shark Tale to Pets' Shrek. It will likely have an even worse percentage drop.

Re: Sing! Sub 150m Club I think it looks bad, but the trailer has had a good reaction the infinite number of times I've seen it before a movie this Summer. I'd MAYBE be in for a sub-200 thread...but that's probably unlikely too.

Despicable Me franchicse had the Minions in their marketing, which appealed to basically everyone. Pets had a strong premise of "what do your pets do while you're not around", which has mass appeal (and the jokes were amusing to mostly everyone).
I don't remember a single joke in the Sing marketing. That's an issue for it. But being the #1 family option during the holidays will help a lot. It actually started at sub 150. But lesterg said there was no way it did way less than 200.

In that regard all the bars set so far in this thread are utter dumb failures. Now I'm hoping this does better than Moana. Just because of zwackerm.
