High Tension, opening in 1323 houses, like Honeymooners is also not very kind in the buzz and release pattern department. The fact that the movie is in French with subtitles will deter alot of horror fans. Don't expect the per screen average to be any higher than other under performing summer horror movies, like Wrong Turn. The horror pic should only scare up $3.8 million over the weekend, followed by a very short shelf life.

I thought the theatrical released version was dubbed? :-k

According to the LA times, it's a little bit of both.

Scott, I'd be very surprised if Crash did drop that much. It's not losing that many more theaters then last week, and this time it is not coming off of Memorial Day weekend. The film has already shown us it has the ability to consistently have great holds.

Otherwise I have better holds for Madagascar and MIL, and a few other differences, but I mostly agree.

I went with pretty similar predictions all 'round. Can't believe I forgot to check Crash's theatre count, went way too high on this
