I wanted to ask my bf a couple of days ago if he saw Edge of Tomorrow, but I could only remeber Live Die Repeat and I forgot to ask later. LOL. They really effed up that title marketing.

I can't see it grossing less.

It depends on how long they wait. If it were to come out 2018 (which is the earliest possible release, I assume), I can see it grossing about the same as the first domestically, and around $500 million worldwide. But if they wait longer, it will probably go down domestically.

I also believe they should take this out of summer which would help this MUCH more domestically. February or March will work for this.

I loved the first movie but this title is AWFUL!!!!!!!!! We're just going to pretend the title Edge of Tomorrow didn't exist? It was ridiculous when they even tried re-naming a movie that plenty of people saw in theaters for its home video release.

Haha, that is funny and sad, loved Edge of Tomorrow too. I'd really like it if they would just call this as the original original title (All You Need is Kill). The title of a film surely is important, but not that important, whoever works in the title department of these films is the worst at his job though.

They would probably change the title. It might get confused for a Die Hard sequel

It must've done well on other revenue streams, as despite its legs, it was a pretty disappointing box office total to greenlight a sequel.

I say release it Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend like with Kingsman and John Wick 2. Worked great for those.

Exactly!! I don't see it doing more than first but it can easily do $90m with Valentine's Day/President Day weekend, plus March has also exploded these last few years so I wouldn't go there as studios are already targeting that month. Late-September/October might also help it stand out IMO.

Yep. It needs to be released when not many other big budget films are. It would get lost in summer.

BTW is it confirmed that Blunt is back? I mean the end of first it was almost sure that the leads die, so I was wondering if they will somehow bring her back in flashbacks or do some REPEAT altogether.

They are both alive and well at the end of first.
