What the hell? (Venezuela box-office)
I just noticed this:
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/venezuela/Hotel Transylvania 2 spent seven (non-consecutive) weeks there as #1 and, in fact, regained the top spot from Spectre in its 8th weekend (while Spectre was in its second).
From my short research it appears that Hotel Transylvania 2 ($19.8 million) is Venezuela's third-biggest film ever already, only behind Minions and Inside Out. I guess the box-office (or exchange rate) exploded this year and the people there really really really love animated films... The first Hotel Transylvania made $5.2 million three years ago, placing at #11 in its own year, so it cannot be just the exchange rate or market growth...
