I think this has potential to do great, although Cameron Crowe hasn't really had a track record for major hits recently. I think this will show much Cooper's name helped Sniper.

I am going to say under. I know it is perfect on paper--romantic comedy! Bradley Cooper! Emma Stone! Rachel McAdams! Bill Murray!--yet the trailer has this low-key, slightly dour vibe, and the campaign thus far seems unfocused as to whom we should be rooting for and want to end up together. I predict an opening around 18 to 22 million. Legs could be great if it proves crowd-pleasing.

Yeah, I agree about the trailer. it's almost TOO obvious in the trailer that he's gonna end up with Emma Stone.

I am sure others have noted this already, but May is very crowded with female-oriented films. She's Funny That Way (guaranteed flop, but let's mention it anyway) runs into Hot Pursuit runs into Pitch Perfect 2 runs into Spy runs into Aloha.

And then Paper Towns opens the first Friday in June.

I definitely think it's under. I really want to see it and hope it's good but I agree the trailer is fairly unfocused. Should still do solid. Cooper's name will help a lot after the success of American Sniper. Will probably do 60-80 Million total depending on how well-liked it is. If really well-received it has the potential for more. It's going to be a very crowded market place for female-skewing films though.
