 Re: Friday Numbers
That Mockingjay # would be a little more than a million off Catching Fire's 4th weekend.
Don't think Exodus will hold well enough to reach 90 million. Guess it'll make its money overseas.
Great for Birdman.

 Re: Friday Numbers
Some actual Friday estimates from Forbes. Meh for Exodus. Inherent Vice is significantly below The Master and There Will Be Blood's PTAs, but I guess it was significantly less of an event than those two were, so in hindsight it makes some sense.Still, not a good sign whenever it expands. Imitation Game had a great expansion hold, as did Theory of Everything and Wild. Imiation Game is actually tracking ahead of The King's Speech, which is pretty impressive.

 Re: Friday Numbers
Expected for Exodus. Despite the overloading of marketing, it just never had any buzz.

Catching Fire makes 67.1 million after its 4th weekend Mockingjay at 276.6 is 55.7 from Guardians Doesn't look good for Guardians

 Re: Friday Numbers
With Exodus taking some of its male demo that would be a great hold for Interstellar. Next weekend it will loose the IMAX screens to Hobbit which would be a big test for it.

 Re: Friday Numbers
the family films next weekend will probably drop big as the two Friday openers are family films (still think this is a stupid idea) but Big Hero 6 should pass Penguins by then. Big Hero 6 should finish with 210 million.

 Re: Friday Numbers
so what else is gonna hit 100 million this month besides Hobbit? lol. Into the Woods seems like a sure thing, as does The Interview but I'm not sure about NATM and Annie.

 Re: Friday Numbers
Exodus opened to $24m I think it still has a small chance to cross $100m.

 Re: Friday Numbers
I guess they should have kept the focus on Moses/Ramses being brothers reluctantly at war rather than two gods fighting each other with big tidal waves.

 Re: Friday Numbers
With these numbers I don't see how Exodus is getting anywhere near $100M. Hobbit, Unbroken, and Into the Woods will easily suck up the rest of the adult audience who probably would have waited to see it closer to the holidays and the under 25 crowd doesn't seem that interested in it anyways. Family appeal is also really low.
That means the audience of the movie is very limited and I'm thinking a total closer to $80M is more likely.
