Post Sunday Numbers (Fathers Day)
Courtesy of RTH (compared to studio estimates):

$13.6m HTTYD2 ($14.3m)
$12.9m 22JS ($16.05m) WOW!

$5.9m EDGE ($5.5m)
$4.6m MALEFICENT ($5.9m)
$3.4m X-MEN ($3.1m)
$2.7m FAULT ($3.64m)

With these numbers opening weekend would be $56.85m for 22JST and $49.275m for HTTYD

What happened to 22JS? Down 31% on Father's Day. It's like a complete collapse. But then, it's not exactly a Father's Day movie. It skews very young.

That's pretty bad. But there's hope it will stabilize from here onwards, given that its Saturday week-to-week drop was a mild 54%.

Look at Dragon. As expected, it fell.

Really poor OW. Probably going to make $180m max or something. Ew.

That Fault drop is massive.

Too bad Edge and XM didn't benefit more because look at the swing in estimates, just +0.7k but -6.09m so a total decrease of -5.39m.

Still, an increase is an increase and it'll need more WOM to spread for it to cross $100m. Perhaps the two bumbling losers that are Godzilla and TASM2 saw an increase to get them closer to the elusive $200m.

I suppose it could have been a good movie for 12 year old boys to take their father to. The only one's who seemed to be laughing in my screening were the kids.

Huge overestimates throughout. Must be the because of the NBA finals

no surprise at the Sunday drop for 22 Jump Street. Stoner comedies are not good Father's Day choices

No surprise either for Maleficent and Fault in Our Stars dropping. Female targeted movies drop like a rock on Father's Day

HTTYD2 is the most surprising though. I thought that would make a good Father's Day choice

Remember last year when the universally loathed MAN OF STEEL stayed flat from Sat to Sun? :shades:   :D  :whaa:
