Re: Friday Numbers (Disgusting horrendous numbers for holdov
WOW! at that drop for DOFP. Once again this franchise shows it's true frontloaded nature, so not even AMAZING wom can save it anymore.
Godzilla's numbers are even more pathetic. It continues to perform just like Ang Lee's infamous Hulk so many years ago and now $200M is looking farther and farther away.
Unless it can pull a SR and stay in theatres long enough WB will just have to drag it there kicking and screaming.

Awful for X-Men. Save for Blended and Chef (and to a lesser extent Neighbors) the holdovers definitely took a hit.

I think we're still in the matinee/early numbers stage...
But these will be closer to right.

We all knew that X-Men would fall hard. This franchise is always so frontloaded. It will be lucky to outgross X2.

Re: Friday Numbers (Disgusting horrendous numbers for holdov
I know I kinda keep repeating myself, but I never understood where the breakout expectations came from? It looked like a good performer, but nowhere in the league of Alice + Burton + Depp. It also doesn't have a classic to back it up like Oz (I'd say The Wizard of Oz is way more popular than Sleeping Beauty). Anything above $60 million is great for it.

Re: Friday Numbers (Disgusting horrendous numbers for holdov
Why did we create a a new thread for more speculative numbers? That's dumb.
