Screen Counts and Crowd Reports (September 19-21)
Hands all over the Eastern border You know what? I think we're falling From composure Hands all over Western culture Ruffling feathers and turning eagles into vultures
Got my arms around baby brother Put your hands away You're gonna kill your mother, kill your mother And I love her
Hands all over the coastal waters The crewmen thank her Then lay down their oily blanket Hands all over the inland forest In a striking motion, trees fall down Like dying soldiers

Tomorrow is a very lucky day for you, America. The Guest is released.
David or Mike, let me know what it's like. You two will most likely see it.

It's being released in 19. I fucking wish it were a wide release. I hope it does really well and continues to expand. Fingers crossed. If it opens here I'll be there.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports (September 19-21)
...It is showing at a theater near Thompson but most here it won't be, since it is only in 19 theaters in the entire country.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports (September 19-21)
It's supposed to go Nationwide October 3rd but that could just be a couple hundred theaters. All depends how well it does in limited release. Usually movies like this don't do well limitedly. Should have just been a wide release right off the bat.
The regular theater I go to is an hour from me and has 17 screens. It's not even showing in my state this weekend.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports (September 19-21)
I saw This Is Where I Leave You at 10PM tonight in a 220 seat theater. There were 8 of us total there. For the theater and the time, I don't think that is a totally terrible number. I honestly was expecting my boyfriend and I to be alone in the theater.
The trailers were for The Judge, Horrible Bosses 2, Gone Girl, The Wedding Ringer, Fifty Shades of Grey, Rosewater, The Theory of Everything and Big Eyes.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports (September 19-21)
I saw The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them at 12:30. Around 10 people in attendance in a mid-sized auditorium. The trailers shown were for Fifty Shades of Grey, Hector and the Search for Happiness, The Imitation Game, Laggies, St. Vincent, and The Theory of Everything.
Then I saw A Walk Among the Tombstones at 4. Around 50 percent full in a mid-sized auditorium. The trailers shown were for Dracula Untold; Fury; Gone Girl; The Judge; Kill the Messenger; Men, Women and Children; and Unbroken.

Saw The Guest at 10PM at the AMC Loews Village 7. Maybe about 40 people there. Trailers were for Birdman, Foxcatcher, The Boy Next Door, Kill The Messenger and Annabelle. Audience seemed to enjoy it.

So you didn't go to one of the showings that had Dan Stevens in attendance?

How many did he attend? It was only in 18 cinemas. cory had a 1 in 18 chance of attending with Dan.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports (September 19-21)
The theater I saw it at was the one Dan Stevens was doing Q&As and intros at. It's maybe a 5 minute walk from my apartment. He intro-ed the movie at my screening but didn't stay for a Q&A.

That's a pretty lousy turn-out for one he was around for then. It's going to do really poorly .

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports (September 19-21)
I heard the 7:30 and 8:00 shows where he did full Q&As were decently crowded. The 10:00 wasn't advertised as a Q&A - he must have just been there already and stopped in for it.
