I think it will do 300-325 in the us and anywhere from 450-550 OS. Best case scenario would be 850 WW.

As far as I'm concerned Iron Man made:
Domestic: $318,412,101 54.4%
+ Foreign: $266,762,121 45.6%
= Worldwide: $585,174,222

So, Man of Steel, with some luck, will make in only Overseas territories what Iron Man made Worldwide :hahaha:

Cavill is British. We support our own. But expect it to quickly lose that outpacing ability when its legs are bad and the reviews are bad. People are saying that Cavill's acting is atrocious.

It might not loose ground in OS markets because of reviews but I believe the competition ahead will likely shorten its legs. IM3 had about 3-4 weeks till STID (a relatively unknown entity in OS markets) came out as competition. MoS on the other hand will be competing in an over-saturated market coming off a HUGE May and the competition ahead also targets its audience. Even MU will steal some of its audience OS markets and then WWZ plus WHD will target action fans.

Yes, international audiences have never even heard of such little shows as Star Trek.

I guess you don't know what "relative" means.

It's pretty good:
superhero film. Warner Brothers rolled out Man of Steel day-and-date in only three major global markets: the United Kingdom, Mexico, and South Korea.

Man of Steel is claiming a $17.1 million opening weekend from the United Kingdom, comparable to the great debut Iron Man 3 earlier this summer. Superman's latest big screen adventure became the third highest Warner Brothers opening weekend in Mexico with a $9.8 million take. South Korea rounded out the top markets for the superhero film, bringing in $8.8 million.

The first overseas territory to report numbers was the Philippines, posting an extraordinary $1,657,532 opening day gross across 466 screens on Wednesday to become the biggest opening day performance in the country's history. The Superman reboot recorded 347,626 admissions in its first day in the Philippines and took over 90% of the market share. It went on become the highest Warner Brothers opening weekend in the territory with a $5.6 million take despite monsoon weather conditions.

India came in with a $3.5 million opening weekend, making it WB's second largest opening there behind The Dark Knight Rises. Malaysia added another $3 million to the overseas cume and the film posted the biggest opening weekend for a WB release in the United Arab Emirates with a $2 million gross.

Yeah so it didn't open in too many major markets, so it is a pretty good opening.

It is though, which is why the first Star Trek barely did anything overseas.

Darkman would be a relatively unknown entity compared to Superman (or anything for that matter). Star Trek is one of the most well known science-fiction franchises in the history of film and TV.

If you really wish to respond to this post, look up the definition of 'unknown' first.

^ If your answer to above post is that, then there is no pointing explaining you would never accept as you have already made up your (narrow) mind, so you will make some stupid excuses again.

When someone has no argument left, they insult.

How many insults in the above post?

Two.
