 Re: Star Trek Wed/Midnight Number
That's what happens when the releases date is changed late, ie Shrek 2. Not a bad number pretty bloody mediocre though.

3.25m on Wednesday night is good, I guess it could have got at least 7m if it had opened tonight

I had to correct a Trekkie last night when he was telling me how excited he was to be seeing the movie "a whole day" before almost anyone else. I would not be surprised to see Trek increase over 100% from Thursday sans previews ( or maybe even including them...). I'm thinking $15m for the rest of today.

 Re: Star Trek Wed/Midnight Number
How much do flicks usually get from Midnight Imaxs? 2 million sounds pretty decent, not sure about the midnight #'s though. I'll reserve thoughts about it until we see Friday numbers.

I was expecting less actually, this bodes very well. I of all people didn't know it came out today until yesterday.

I guess this doesn't shock me. I haven't seen too many people expressing excitement about this, myself included.

 Re: Star Trek Wed/Midnight Number
Really bad.
Remember when all of you thought this was going to easily trump Man of Steel? This is going to barely top the first one.

 Re: Star Trek Wed/Midnight Number
Great Gatsby's #1 for Wednesday. And BOM has separated Wednesday's # like how the first one's Thursdays were separated, wonder if that'll be the case when actuals come out.

I honestly don't think the general public knew it came out today, so I think that's pretty good.

 Re: Star Trek Wed/Midnight Number
That is true but some business was burned off so the chances of getting a super crazy weekend are eroded by default.
Based on Presales this is not breaking out much.

 Re: Star Trek Wed/Midnight Number
It's not the end of the world yet. It will rebound the next couple of days. However I predicted 108m four day and this wil do no more than that in 4 days. Never understood the 130m+ predictions

BTC has gone down to a crazy low 85 million 4-day..
Seems low but they called IM3 and GG exactly.

I can't see it doing that low. I still think it will break a 100 million.
