Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for November 21-25
I saw The Perks of Being a Wallflower on the big screen tonight for the last time as it's the last night. Went to the 9:30. There were 18 of us. I was kind of surprised there were this many to be honest. They should have kept it another week. Would have done nicely over Thanksgiving break I think.

Saw Silver Linings Playbook at 3:05 at a very mainstream mall multiplex. Around 40% full in a mid-sized auditorium. The trailers shown were for The Guilt Trip, Iron Man 3, Killing Them Softly, This Is 40, and Zero Dark Thirty.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for November 21-25
I saw Skyfall at 11:50AM in a 122 seat theater. There were maybe 25 people there.
The only sell outs for today were 3 for Twilight and 2 for Lincoln, nothing for any of the new openers.

I did see a sell out for Life of Pi in 3D and a bunch for Twilight, Skyfall, and Lincoln.
None for Guardians and Red Dawn though.

Saw Life of Pi in 3-D at 6:45. Around 30% full in a HUGE auditorium. The trailers shown were for Epic, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Jurassic Park, Oz the Great and Powerful, and Parental Guidance.

Is Life of Pi worth seeing in 3-D? I'm debating.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for November 21-25
At one theater near me there has already been a Twilight and Lincoln sell out. The other has a sell out for Life of Pi 3D as well as a Skyfall.

Saw Rise of the Guardians at 9:30 am (yes, they have shows that early). There were about 50 people in the theater.
Trailers were The New Despicable Me Teaser The Croons And the James Cameron Cirque Du Soleil film.
People clapped after the show. I enjoyed it.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for November 21-25
Well, the movies were SO CROWDED today. Not that I'm surprised on Black Friday, but wow. Saw a double feature of Life of Pi (3D) at 4:10 and Silver Linings Playbook at 7:50 with my sister and a couple of friends. This was the theater I was at, for reference. Saw Hitchcock at 5:30. Around 70% full in a small auditorium. The trailers shown were for The Central Park Five, Hyde Park on Hudson, The Impossible, Rust and Bone, and Stoker.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for November 21-25
Hitchcock sold out its last six shows today at the Bethesda Row Cinema in Maryland. I expect a nice Saturday bump for it. Its three-day per-theatre average should at least be a hair above $20,000.
