How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
Titanic 3D came in slightly below expectations and The Phantom Menace, while managing a decent opening, had absolutely terrible legs resulting in a sub-$45 million total (despite.
Now while I do strongly prefer Attack of the Clones to The Phantom Menace, I think the general feeling is that of all six Star Wars films, this is the one re-issue audiences will be least interested in seeing. Frankly, I don't see anyone outside of the hardcore Star Wars fanbase going out to see this one.
I think it will open with $13-14 million and finish with around $23-25 million.

Your prediction seems right.
These re-releases' performances will be more interesting once A New Hope rolls around.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
I think 4 re releases in 3D also hurt Titanic a little bit, but it's still going to do better than Beast and Phantom. I think as long as its not too close to Jurassic Park, it should do fine like 15-18 and 35 total.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
I doubt any of these re-releases do more than 50 million, even the OT. The movies are on blu-ray, and the public doesn't care about gimmicky 3D re-releases. TLK caught lightning in a bottle. And by 2015, 3D will be even less relevant than it is now.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
If anything, they should have held off the Blu-ray releases until after the 3D re-releases. There would have been far more incentive to see them in theaters

A New Hope could be pretty big. Not re-release from the late 90s big, but still big.

Attack of the Clones is a great Star Wars movie, so it will likely do terribly at the BO.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
People are steadily learning that 3D conversions just aren't good enough, just as they're learning that most 3D just isn't good enough.
Since it's a better film, and if it doesn't have a 100m in others openers to go against, maybe it can manage similar numbers to Ep I.

This looked just like a filler when I saw it long back.
I'd say $12m/$30m

I'd say $12m/$30m It'll never get legs this good.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
2.5 might be achievable if it opens too low, the first one did get a multiplier of 2..almost. I don't think 2.5 is that huge of a difference.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
Actually quite huge. The first one had a holiday weekend in its sophomore frame. Opening lower doesn't give you a better multiplier.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
If people thought the 3D in Ep 1 wasn't worth it, they won't return to Clones on opening weekend. The only thing that would give it legs is if the 3D were somehow phenomenally must see - not likely.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
The basic fact is: this is dreariest Star Wars movie. It doesn't even have pod-racing, Darth Maul, or Liam Neeson. It's the one heaviest on syrup-coated, chemistry-free romance and dull "The senator from Naboo will defer to Supreme Writ!" political gamesmanship. There just isn't going to be any excitement for its arrival in 3-D outside of the most hardcore Star Wars aficionados.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
I think the original films will do well..
They are still very well loved films...
I think AOTC will not do well. Back in 2002 it was seen as a huge disappointment even though today its adjusted gross is actually very respectable...
I do not see a good gross for ROTS either... Even though SW fans like the film the best out of the three but its like everyone has seen that film just a few years ago.

Re: How badly will Attack of the Clones 3D perform?
Sith will do better than Clones, certainly. I think it'll approach TPM's gross. I don't think the OT will be quite as big as people think. To a giant chunk of the public, Star Wars is Star Wars. It doesn't matter which trilogy you're talking about.

true but I think a lot more of the Star Wars fanbase will come out for ANH.
