Otherwise fair.

Why would tossing DS's predictions out the window be fair? That seems the definiton of unfair to me.

He was being funny.

Nope. According to the Google Doc, you're in 13th place with 4 points getting points for The Avengers' total gross and current ranking as #1 of summer.

Seems everyone predicted too high a number for question six.

The Expendables 2 might end up being the top grossing film rated R.

Maybe, but I think it might still end up right in the middle.

Films over $100 million:

The Avengers
Men in Black 3
Snow White and the Huntsman
Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted
Prometheus

LOCKS:
Brave
The Amazing Spider-Man
Ice Age: Continental Drift
The Dark Knight Rises

LIKELY:
The Watch
The Bourne Legacy
Total Recall
The Campaign
The Expendables 2

POSSIBILITIES:
Magic Mike
Ted
Hope Springs

I think we'll still have 13-14 $100 million films. Definitely still on the lower end of most predictions though.

In other news, AaronUpsidasium is still in domination of the charts. He's scored points for 8/11 movies predicted so far. Still 13 movies left up for points, so anything can happen! Even to poor Rev, who still currently has 0 points!

Turns out I still don't understand teen girls. Might be $200M off on my Dark Shadows and Snow White predictions. :funny:

I don't see how Total Recall or The Watch are likely.

You could switch around Magic Mike and Ted with Total Recall and The Watch, but the end result would be the same for number of potential 100M films.

Unfortunately for me, I don't see any higher than 13 happening now, and I guessed 14.

Can't believe I went with 19, guess the performance of previous months inflated my numbers. Summer 2012 is a bummer.

For Magic Mike and Ted, points will easily go to the eight people with the highest predictions. A nice change of pace.

Question three became very interesting the minute Madagascar 3 opened at no. 1.

With the Amazing Spider-Man's great weekend, I think it's assured now to beat Brave. Assuming The Avengers is now out of reach for The Dark Knight, a correct top 5 prediction will escape us again.

#1: The Avengers
#2: The Dark Knight Rises
#3: The Amazing Spider-Man
#4: Brave
#5: Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Wow, Snow White is going to finish well short of the average prediction.

It was a crap movie though and it's still making $150m. If it were actually good it would've been toward the top. I'm sure it could've made at least another $50m+

I'm eager to see if Prometheus remains the answer to the third question or if The Bourne Legacy, The Campaign, or Hope Springs top it.

Casey, will the next game be September/October/November/December or just November/December?

It's usually just Nov/Dec, but October has more big films then usual.

We could do that! My only goal is to capture the most "fun" movies to predict anyways, so I'm up for any combination of the late months.

Anything is good by me, I'm loving this. Even though I've gone from 9th to 24th. :(
