John Carter saw a good Saturday bump last week and this week should be no different. I think the chances of a decent hold are still there but 21 Jump Street might have taken away too many old male fans from it

Fantastic opening for 21 Jump Street. Would have never thought this title could open this high a year ago.

Seems decent for Casa de mi Padre.

From THR - Younger moviegoers, who made up 50 percent of the audience, gave 21 Jump Street a glowing A CinemaScore, while those over 50 gave it a C-, resulting in an overall B CinemaScore.

Interesting to see such polarizing results between older and younger audiences, but after seeing it yesterday I have to say it definitely isn't for them. IDK, maybe it's because I'm young, but I thought it was hilarious. The humor really appealed to me and the rest of my audience who were mostly teens and young adults. They ate it up.

Well people over 40 were probably teens when they saw 21 Jump Street. It could be the same thing with Starsky and Hutch, they hate the fact that they are lampooning instead of doing it straight. So they are alienated, meaning a worse grade.

you forget today is St. Patrick's Day. It is one of the worst movie going days of the year.

Great opening day for 21 Jump Street. Should be a $35M opening and $100M+ total. Channing Tatum is sorta on fire. lol. Who knew.

Casa de Mi Padre's solid opening proves that Hispanics are continually underrepresented in terms of films catering to them.

Not as funny, though, as The Good German and The Good Shepherd. Woof.

Or Me Myself I released around the same time as Me Myself and Irene. Or earlier that spring of 2000, Where the Money Is and Where the Heart Is. Talk about, am I in the right theater.
