Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
from coming soon.net... http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=89709Looking at it and it should be near IM2 final overseas total by next Sunday TA has made around 18 million in 3 days in the UK and 4 day should be around 23 million. Considering IM2 made 30 million total... TA will end up to around 60 million so overseas 400 million is assured and the question is about 500+

So, barring international legs like Spider-Man 3 (Which were abnormally bad), I'm pretty sure Avengers is breaking $500 million at this point.

WOW. That is HUGE. $550m is possible...this is from just 39 countries. If it makes $450m in US then $1b WW is in play.

Hmm, it looks like $500 million should be the absolute low-end of its total foreign gross...

No direct competition or big blockbusters until Battlefield on May 11th and the week after that nothing.

I can tell that the German estimate of $6.7m is severly underestimated, it should be around $8.1m...

IA4 has no chance, TS3 was a cultural moment. everyone wanted to see that film, and it's something I'm feeling with the Avengers too.

Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
The avengers opens 78% ahead of IM2 overseas and in 14 fewer markets.
I think 500 million is assured...
Its pulling off a TF3..

I do realize you are comparing with blockbusters here still to get that status is not easy. Avengers could have easily gone Thor/CA route or even IM route but it out-opened them and hugely.

Its pulling off a TF3.. Absolutely I see a TF3ish run here. I don't see a $770 total or so but something like a huge increase over IM2 for $600m-$650m finish though next week will give us a better picture though for now $500m looks an absolute lock.

Re: The Avengers (INTL.)
well TF3 went from 420 million to 770 million
TA is going from 310 million to 500-600 milllion.
So pretty much like a TF3 explosion...
