 Predict Supehero Movies: 2011
Predict: Thor (3D) X-Men: First Class Green Lantern (3D) Captain America (3D) ------ Edward Douglas of Weekend Warrior pointed out that The Green Hornet has been the only movie to have a weekend over 20 million this year. It's at $170.8 million worldwide thusfar, and will break 100 million domestically. Will any of the following four superhero movies (and any others I may be forgetting) fail to hit that mark?
A more interesting question might be, will any of them really take off? I think Captain America has the biggest upwards potential, but could also easily underwhelm. It won't help if Thor is a trainwreck. On the other hand, I think Green Lantern could surprise a lot of people on here.
Green Lantern (3D) 71/185 Captain America (3D) 68/175 Thor (3D) 64/151 X-Men: First Class 49/131 Green Hornet 109 total

 Re: Predict Supehero Movies: 2011
Green Lantern looks most fun. Captain America has most potential. Thor has highest chance of grossing the most. X-Men is DOA.

 Re: Predict Supehero Movies: 2011
None of them seem interesting enough. I dont think we will have a SH movie that will pass 150 million this year but if I would pick one, I would go with the wild card of X-men since they have already been well established enough and the BO prediction for those movies were always underpredicted

 Re: Predict Supehero Movies: 2011
Anyone else care to predict before the superhero onslaught begins? I might slightly lower my Green Lantern prediction, because I'm not sure if people will accept something as wonderfully silly as superhero aliens, but I bet it'll still do better than most people are predicting.

 Re: Predict Supehero Movies: 2011
Jesus, alot of lowballing on both THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA I'm seeing.. Both are gonna be juggernaughts and I'm not exactly sure what more proof you need of that after THOR'S stellar takeoff??? Face it: It's MARVEL'S True winner yet probably and the most difficult character to bring to the screen without looking too goofy and it worked..
THOR: 75M 300M Domestic
CAPTAIN AMERICA: 75-100M 300-350M Domestic(only because it'll be marketed effectively to make America look good after the Bin Laden takedown..
