I mainly resent the fact he suggests Michael Fassbender, one of the coolest, most masculine, most compelling, most fucking flat-out awesome actors going, falls under "a teeny tike like there portraying these characters as though there X-MEN Muppet Babies."

I'm actually way more confident in this now than I was before. The marketing has been aggressive. If it can match the tracking, that's a huge success.

Also the early reviews are highly positive, and there are 10+ official reviews already out there.

Oh and on this club there is no way this will be a big disappointment. Also you have to define some benchmark for disappointment....you cannot say in the end that I created a club and even if this makes $300m or $200m or an increase over Wolverine or just a slight decrease over Wolverine then it is a "big disappointment". That is not correct, there are always over-predictions for a movie and if the movies does not match all of those doesn't mean your club is not a success.

I think it will deffentially get teens into the theatres, but the majority of audience will probably still be 25 and and up due to the premise. Wolverine already proved the audience for these movies is deffentially getting older and for some reason I think the whole cuban missile crisis and JFK plot will have alot more appeal to older audiences who might have even went through some of that stuff when they were younger than teens who are just going for the action and spectacle. It's going to be HUGE though, so this will fail.

I think X-Men will be the highest grossing comic book movie of the summer right now. If it opens in the high 70s it should do at least 185 which would make it higher than Thor or Captain America. The signs look great for it especially the aggressive marketing and glowing reviews.

Getting rid of the horrifically overrated Jackman was the best thing this movie could do. I think it looks great and am actually looking forward to it. 80m/210m, better legs than wolverine due to much better WOM.

Jennifer Lawrence is prettier, hotter, and a better actress than Rebecca Romijyn Stamos. The movie also has three huge up and coming actors including Michael Fassenbender who will rule the movie as Magneto.

I find her prettier but that is completely a matter of taste. Everybody has different views on beauty and what they attracts them.

Actually, that wouldn't really be at all. Wolverine was the main character of the series, a spin-off of him is going to have more inherent appeal than a reboot/pre-quel with an entirely new cast. Anything over 150m is a success for this imo.

This club disappoints. 160 million for First Class would not be a "big disappointment". BKB, either make a balsy prediction or close this thread.

I always found hotter a matter of taste but it is a mute point. I don't think you can argue Lawrence is a much better actress than Rebbecca.

I agree with Jedi that Lawrence is a better actress, but she is knowhere near as hot as a prime Rebecca, just my opinion on this serious matter.
