 Re: Green Lantern Midnights:3.35M
Anyone know what Fantastic Four's midnights were if we were to compare badly reviewed super super campy kid SH flicks?

 Re: Green Lantern Midnights:3.35M
It'll have a much better drop than 20% on Sunday. I'm thinking like 10%.

 Re: Green Lantern Midnights:3.35M
I'm still not sure it'll crack more than $20m today. It would need a sub 1000 Twitter ratio and, historically speaking, that's unlikely for the comic book genre.

 Re: Green Lantern Midnights:3.35M
Isn't that about the same as X-Men FC? I still don't think it will pass that and it will be very frontloaded once people hear how awful it is.

 Re: Green Lantern Midnights:3.35M
Similar number to X-Men: First Class, but this is deeper into the summer and should have worse WOM, so it won't see the sort of Fri-to-Sat increase without midnight that First Class saw, but it will have better Sunday hold. Probably looking at $50-55m.

I project 23/61.
Regardless of how awful I can't see it drop harder than Silver Surfer, and shouldn't be as frontloaded as Incredible Hulk.

 Re: Green Lantern Midnights:3.35M
I think poor WOM and bad reactions from the trailer will keep mainstream moviegoers away from this movie. Walk-ins look to be minimal at this point.

Our in-house polling had a definite interest in-between Ghost Rider and Thor, but that was before most of the reviews were posted. Really comes down to how fast the bad WOM spreads, and if people care OW.

 Re: Green Lantern Midnights:3.35M
Good reviews didn't help X-Men on opening weekend, so I doubt bad reviews will hurt Lantern all that much. Looking at high 50s, low 60s.

BATMAN & ROBIN (RT=13 %) opened to $43m - that was the 7th biggest opening of its time - reviews mean sh**...

 Re: Green Lantern Midnights:3.35M
For the opening they mean shit, yes.
However, just looking at the number side of things....$3.35 million in June is not as big as the same number at the beginning of May. Midnights tend to get bigger in the middle of the summer. I expect no more than $20-22 million on Friday.

It's getting boring... BRIDESMAIDS rose 9 % (and dropped 16 % compared to last Thursday)

It was still the 7th biggest of all-time - today's 7th biggest opener of all-time is SHREK THE THIRD with $122m...
