Outstanding for Resident Evil. That's 355 more theaters than Extinction.

Very solid for Resident Evil: Afterlife. A $30+ million opening doesn't seem evry hard at this point.

Strong increase for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Might even break $300 million this very weekend and could actually end up passing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince's final gross.

Toy Story 3 will crumble and now probably miss $415 million.

Strong holds for The Expendables (3,000+ theatres in its 5th week!), Inception and The Other Guys.

Any idea how many of these screens for RE 4 are 3D ? Though on paper that number means 30m+ should be a breeze.

Can anyone tell me why are they "re-releasing" Eclipse? (No speculations please I need a genuine answer --- I heard somewhere that this is some celebration due to which it is being re-released this time). Is the expansion only to dollar theaters (similar to New Moon) ?

Spetember 13th is apparently the birthday of main female character so they want to capitalize a bit on that. Also the movie needs a push for $300m.

I think it will crawl there. It should be past 410m after maybe a 1m weekend, and it still has a dollar run left. WALL-E and Ratatouille both held very well through their dollar theater boosts in early October, even after Labor Day boosts.
