Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for January 21-23
I'm seeing The Way Back tonight. I hope there's a decent crowd there. It'll be sad it there's just five people.

Saw No Strings Attached in a 400-seater at 4:00. Barely anyone there, but the whole theater was dead. Not a theater I ever go to, though.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for January 21-23
I saw No Strings Attached at 4:20. It was in a 160 seat auditorium and it was about 80% full. I was quite surprised. Trailers: Paul Prom The Roommate Transformers Justin Bieber: Never Say Never The crowd reaction was insanely positive and most people were younger girls. Some so young I was confused how they actually got in. I didn't get ID'ed, so I'm just assuming they weren't ID'ing anyone. The crowd was really well behaved except these girls behind me kept complaining about the lesbian scene and how wrong and disgusting it was.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for January 21-23
The Way Back, 3:30PM. Probably a 200-250 seater with about 30 people. If I wasn't the youngest person there, there weren't many under 30s. Trailers: The Lincoln Lawyer Unknown Source Code The Adjustment Bureau Hanna
The movie was excellent, but the Lloyd Center's screen had a horribly distracting smudge. It looked like someone had nailed the screen with an overripe Mountain Dew.

Saw The Way Back at 6:40pm in Annapolis. The Hanna and Water for Elephants trailers were shown. There were around 40 people there.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for January 21-23
No Strings Attached 8:00 show, 400-seat theater, sold out.
Trailers Just Go With It Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Take Me Home Tonight Paul Your Highness Water for Elephants Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Movie Much more sharply written than many romantic comedies, No Strings Attached is a bit too predictable to really enter an upper echelon but is still very cute and above average. Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher have a surprising amount of chemistry. Portman does really solid work here, and her Emma is a much more three-dimensional protagonist than the women who typically inhabit these films. Likewise, Kutcher has probably never been more appealing, and there are a number of good supporting turns from the actors here. This was a good time. B+
Crowd reacted really well and it seemed to be doing brisk business here.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for January 21-23
The theatre I went to was super-crowded, and it sadly wasn't for The Way Back. I expect at least an $8 or 9 million opening day for No Strings Attached.

Wow that would be a healthy increase for TGH and good for NSA as well.

Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for January 21-23
That would be fantastic for The Green Hornet and Little Fockers if it holds up. Meet the Fockers had a 50% drop on a near identical weekend in 2005, while Little Fockers looks to drop less than 40%.
