Post 2012's schedule is insane!
2012 is going to be the biggest year EVER!, bigger than even 2007.

I want to see nearly every movie coming out in Summer. While i see TDKR to easily snatch the #1 spot Domestically, i see the battle for #2 downto be ferociously faught.

The Dark Knight Rises - $550m
The Avengers - $410m
The Hobbit 1 - $400m
Monsters Inc 2 - $350m
Twilight: BD 2 - $340m
Star Trek 2 - $310m
Spiderman Reboot - $280m
Men In Black 3 - $270m
Superman Reboot - $230m
Madagascar 3 - $220m
Brave - $210m
Ice Age 4 - $200m
Battleship - $190m
James Bond 23 - $180m

Overseas will easily belong to The Hobitt with at least $800m (seeing as it'll be in 3D), with TDKR to be at least $600m, and Bond 23 above $500m.

It's going to be The Hobitt vs. TDKR for #1 WW. :hahaha: :hahaha: :hahaha: :hahaha:

Huge, though I can't stop but thinking that one of the releases will have to give....i really think they should really push out the Superman Reboot which doesn't fit in a year with so many big name comic releases. Everything else can stay i think.

The way the ICE AGE movies are going, I wouldn't be surprised if it did $1b worldwide...

Sequels and prequels and reboots, Oh My!

When a board game adaptation starts to look like the most original idea on the schedule, you already know you're sunk!

(At least there's one lone original story on the list above from none other than good old Pixar.)

I'm thinking....

The Dark Knight Rises - $510m
The Hobbit 1 - $470m
The Avengers - $401m

Monsters Inc 2 - $330m
Twilight: BD 2 - $300m
Star Trek 2 - $290m
Spiderman Reboot - $275m
Superman Reboot - $228m
Madagascar 3 - $210m
Ice Age 4 - $200m
Men In Black 3 - $188m
James Bond 23 - $170m
The Bourne Legacy - $165m
Battleship - $160m

Agree that Superman should be delayed.

Its a battle of the BIG 3. TDK will be huge offcourse but sub $500m isnt out of the question. Hobbit will be huge thanks to LOTR nostalgia plus its more of a family film. Avengers should atleast do Transformers 2 numbers.

There is barely anything on that list I'm excited for, spare for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, STAR TREK 2 and possibly the reboot of SPIDER-MAN.

Avengers is struggling to 300m.

Who wants to see Battleship/MIB3/Mad 3/IA 4 etc. when you see what they are/how the last one did.

Superhero fatigue is going to set in for sure.

Without knowing anything about it, Battleship seems like the bomb out of the bunch. Will probably be another 'Poseidon'.
