Not bad - a little low for the openers but not bad.

Weekend should be about $18m for Silent Hill, $12m for Sentinel and about $3m for Dreamz.

That's disappointing for SILENT HILL. It doesn't look like it will reach 20 Million this weekend, and it will drop off fast so it would probably be lucky to get to 50 Million. Hopefully it will be enough for them to make a sequel.

SENTINEL might do 14 Million.

I should have stuck with my original prediction of AMERICAN DREAMZ flopping. It just looked so horrible from the TV spots. Instead I raised my prediction to 6.2 Million :nonono:.

I think you're a little low on all three. Firewall opened in the same range, and would've broken $14M if the snow storms hadn't hurt its Sunday, so expect that for The Sentinal. And with the same IM as the original Resident Evil, SH should be just shy of $20M. ADz will probably land with $3-3.5M.

I'm wondering when/if Mandy Moore is going to appear in a film that doesn't tank. Seriously, it has gotten to the point where she's actually an underrated actress by now.

Maybe that movie she's in with Diane Keaton will do well.

Terrible is probably a little extreme for The Sentinel. It will do $14-15M, or around what people were expecting.

Are there any good comparisions for it so we can figure out a wekend gross? The third one went up 130% in its second Saturday for some reason, and the first two were in the summer.

Looks like they perhaps should've rolled out Friends With Money a little slower.

Yeah. At least it'll open better then then Firewall and 16 Blocks, even if its gonna be beat up big time by M:I-3 in two weeks.

My bad. Now that I've looked at the number of theaters it is playing in, $14-15 million is decent. (a $4,000-$5,000 PTA). About what I was predcting ($15.1 million).

Nice to see somewhat higher numbers for Silent Hill and The Sentinel (I think, maybe) than the earlier numbers that were posted.

Dreamz isn't surprising. They were trying to do too many things at once, and the story was confusing from the commercials.

Solid for the Sentinel. The reviews took a toll, and had they been better, since could have approached high teens.

Good for Silent Hill. It looked bad, but it was bound to do $18 m + anyway.

SM4 actually held up pretty decently. It could pull an under 60% drop this weekend.

ICE AGE 2 is likely going to struggle to $200 m. It will come awfully close though. But I was saying that $200 m wasn't a given since its 1st and 2nd week, with that weekend multiplier...

Benchwarmers should do $60 m +, which is twice as much as I thought it'd do.

Friends w/ Money isn't too surprising if it did disappoint. Going from 42 to 990 theaters was too fast, especially when the reviews were not that great anyhow. Aniston has yet to be in successful film w/out the help of her co-stars. Bruce Almighty (Carrey), and Along Came Polly (Stiller). Hopefully she'll have some luck w/ The Break Up.
