My local Regal theater has 4 midnight shows listed on Fandango.
None have sold out yet as of noon.

My local Marcus Ultrascreen Cinema has 3 midnight shows listed
on Movietickets. The Ultrascreen showing is sold out as of noon,
the other two are not. I'll check around 4 to see if anymore have
sold out.

The three midnight showings at my theater have all sold out. Knowing my theater they will probably add a few more before the day is over.

Post Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for June 24-28
Just got to my theater, we have currently sold 123 tickets for the midnight to TF2. I fully expect people to continue coming by for the rest of the day getting advanced tickets for it. For comparision the best I have is Wolverine, which we had sold about 50-60 tickets for at 4:00 on Thursday. We ended up selling 215-220 tickets for that movie for midnights, so at this pace I expect about twice that. We sold 900 tickets for TDK, so it's obviously not even approaching that, but it should be pretty big.
Will continue to update as the night goes on, and will have a final report at around 1:00 am Central time.

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

The second show at the Marcus Ultrascreen Cinema has now sold out.
The only have one showing left (not digital, can't link to other auditoriums).

The Regal still hasn't sold out one of their shows. I will continue to update
until I leave to get in line a few hours before showtime.

Can folks who post sellout info compare it to TDK. Just to get a perspective where it stands.

I was just checking few big cities and theaters which had double digit sellouts for TDK and TF2 does not even seem to be in the same ballpark. It does not even have 1/3 of shows listed. I dunno how it can even make 10m at this point.

Nearly every midnight show (non-IMAX) in my general vicinity is sold out, FWIW:

AMC Hoffman Center (Alexandria, VA): 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:01 am (plus IMAX sold out)
AMC Potomac Mills (Woodbridge, VA): 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:01 am (plus IMAX sold out)
AMC Tysons Corner (McLean, VA): 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:01 am
Regal Kingstowne (Alexandria, VA): 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:01 am, 12:01 am
Regal Potomac Yard (Alexandria, VA): 12:01 am

None of the theaters in downtown DC have sold out, though. I'm thinking this may be more popular in the suburbs.

Libs,
Do you remember how TDK did in your area and how TF2 is doing relative to it.

No. I'm sure it has less, but are we really expecting this to come at all close to The Dark Knight? I'm certainly not.

Obivously. Working people in D.C. can't watch a midnight show. But the youth of suburbia can.

Well, I mean in general, not just the midnight shows.

Me either. There is a pretty big difference between a Friday midnight in July and a Wednesday one in June. Comparing it with TDK is setting oneself for disappointment.

what do you think it would make. I am comparing it to TDK to get a relative number. I dont see it coming close to TDK.

For my local theaters...
Regal 1/4 soldout
Marcus 2/3 sold out (1 of them being the Ultrascreen).

This is the first time anything has sold out this far in advance since TDK.
Unfortunately I don't remember how many screens there were for TDK. I
do know that every show for midnight between the two theaters sold out.

At my theater we already have it loaded into 3 screens, 1 theater is currently sold out and we just started selling on a second. Our tally is 216 tickets so far. I can't compare how TDK did throughout the evening, but the final result was we sold out 4 theaters and came close to selling out a fifth, selling over 900 tickets total. I expect this to do roughly half that.
At the local 20 plex they have sold out 2 shows and have one at 12:10, 12:15, and 12:20 loaded.
This is looking pretty good to me, but not out of this world. Basically what I thought it would.

All 5 showing are ou hear. They are adding a 3am showing.

Ps. TRANSFORMERS accounts 93 percents of tickets sells on fandango and 96 percent on movieticke. Both together are reporting more than 1,000 sell outs as of 3 pm today. Number should be lot higher by now.

Looking Good

What was the date on the Movieticket All Time info being posted?

The mid 90% ticket sells is your typical number for blockbusters like this, and would suggest a higher spot than No.25 on the chart posted earlier I would think.

4 out of 7 midnight shows sold out at my theater so far. I think they can only have 3 more shows added, but I'm not sure if they planned for that many.

It should be bigger than what the first one earned on Monday. $10m sounds about right.

I have a question. So if theatres keep adding shows doesn't that mean showings for other movies decrease?
That's the reason movies fall so much when a blockbuster opens right? Not because people don't see them but the showings get cut?

little more than an hour to go and we've sold 299 tickets. This is my last update before we close, I will have final numbers around 1am my time. It's looking pretty good right now, won't know how it'll actually turn out till we're done though.
