Just Go With It had Aniston who demands more herself, this movie basically doesn't have anyone at all in that respect and I highly doubt Sandler would have asked for double pay just because he is playing a double role.

Yeah the next you will say that Sandler took $70m for Jack and Jill, which would not be correct :P

An expensive weekend:

$135m HAPPY FEET 2
$110m BREAKING DAWN 1 (the most money probably going to the actors)

Well Breaking Dawn will still make more than HF2 and is cheaper so it is not that bad and given that the movie will open more than the budget OW it is still great.

I just searched this thread and found this post, so it is just a confirmation actually

HF2's budget is the same as the original's inflation adjusted, so it is still good. It will still be a decent success but you never know if it might get lost in OS markets cause both Puss and this are rolling out close to each other in most of the markets.

I'm always suprised how Summit manages to keep their budgets in decent levels.

Not hard when the criteria for effects is: looking like shit.

RED, Knowing and Source Code had pretty good effects and their budgets weren't big.

Damn notice how they say it cost atleast an extra $50M to market ? Depending on those international numbers this movie definitely has the potential to be even a bigger bomb than Sucker Punch. It's pretty fucking ridicoulous that a rookie company like Relatively spent this much on a movie when they don't even have much marketing experiance in the first place. It ain't like they have a bunch of hits under their belts to easily recover from this if shit goes south.

Immortals isn't a flop...it has already made almost double the budget worldwide.

Holy hopping hell Hugo! And Arthur Christmas! The one that costs 45m will make well more than the two of them combined.

While expected that is a damn big number for Hugo, this is going to be really big flop (still don't see it bigger than Mars Needs Moms, cause this will do a little better in OS markets as well).

Great for Muppets, Marylin and Artist though the later two were more than expected. Though it is a standard animation budget for these kind of movies, that number for Arthur looks too big. It really needs to do well in US.

10 mil. is amazing for My Week with Marilyn, a period piece with several name actors and lots of costumes and sets.

Yeah me too. I think Sitter could have gone a little lower, nothing too bad but could have been better.

Good and expected for NYE.

Impressive for SH2 and good for Alvin as well (though I think they could have done with a Muppets similar budget). Regardless both will be big hits I see that both of these will get above $500m WW.

Agreed though Alvin will also be a big hit. Alvin 2 was not far behind Sherlock last time and it is just getting bigger in OS

Wow, Fincher's Dragon Tattoo cost $125 million? I just read this. I figured it would be expensive for what is ultimately a character-centric mystery movie, but not well over $100 million.

Regardless too big of a budget for a risky project, the movie wasn't sure-fire hit....

Yes and in that case 60% of the movies these days should have $100m budget.
