Re: Box Office for Monday!! (estimated)
simpson movie fell very well and much better then expected.
TO have a Monday comparable to the big three with a much smaller opening weekend is very impressive

 Re: Monday Numbers (July 30)
Big drops for many films, probably the result of those low Sunday decreases. If The Simpsons can stay above 6M until Thursday, 200M will be almost a sure thing.

 Re: Monday Numbers (July 30)
Very good for the Simpsons, lets hope its another underestimate, but will pass 100 million by Thursday. Potter is doing good, shold pass COS by the end of the next weekend. Chuck and Larry and Hairspray both look like they'll hit 100 million and Go Die Hard, should pass 130 million by this weekend. Looks like it will pass Mi3

PoA made an additional 59 million from its 18 million third weekend If OOTP could maintain that with what was a 17.7 weekend an higher weekdays. Its looking at 302 million. POA and GOF both had 10-11 million weekends 4th weekend, if OOTP can do it it still has a shot.

Unlike the last couple though, it will most likely have a good Imax push that will keep it alive in the end, so its still very possible in my opinion.

BKB, you on crack? Simpsons dropped better than Chuck & Larry (and, you know, just opened to $74m) and it's going to be on DVD in three weeks? I know you're upset that Simpsons will outgross Rise of the Silver Surfer by Sunday, but c'mon now. Don't be blind. And plus, you're bullshitting yourself because you said that if a film makes its production budget domestically, it's successful. And Simpsons will double it (at the minimum).
So yeah, great for Simpsons.

Sicko has passed Bowling for Columbine to take #4 on the all time documentary list. If it doesn't lose theaters too fast An Inconvenient Truth could go down as well. Awesome.
Great for everything, really.
